would+动词原形 表示从过去某一时间看将来要发生的动作，强调“过去的意思、承诺或计划”。 He said he would help me with math. “said(说)”是过去动作，“would help me(会帮我)”是从“说“这个时间点看将来要发生的事。
was/were going to+动词原形 表示过去打算、计划或即将发生的动作、侧重“过去的安排或预见到的未来情况” They were going to visit the museum. “were going to visit(打算参观)”是基于过去某一时间（如决定计划时）对未来的规划。

② was/were going to+动词原形
例
He said they were going to visit the Great Wall next Friday.（他说他们下周五打算去参观长城。）
When they arrived the plane was just going to take off.（飞机正要起飞时他们到了。）

过去曾经计划要做的事，或者过去应当做的事，而且从现在的角度来看已经实现！
