一、教学目标
After this class, we’ll be able to: read for the 6 elements(5W1H) and the theme; build up the structure of continuation writing; know how to write down the five fixed sentences.
二、学情分析
Students in Grade 3 have learned English for years, and they have mastered some basic language points and language skills, and they can get some detailed information in the text. But most of them lack reading for continuation writing strategies . At the same time, the students can’t understand the text by asking some questions and using the questioning minds.The teachers and the students in this class have been together for nearly more than a year, forming a relaxed and harmonious teacher-student relationship. The students' English foundation has been greatly improved (the average score is probably between 75 and 90 points), with a lack of vocabulary, and there has been a significant increase in the enthusiasm for learning English, and they are quite active in participating in classroom activities. They have certain reading ability and logical reasoning ability, and can use reading skills to obtain and analyze the superficial information of the article, but the students only score 7-9 points in continuation writing, and how to conduct continuation writing after reading still needs further leading and guiding. The students' ability to integrate, summarize the content of the text, and paraphrase it in English is very weak. The ability of students to use the knowledge they have learned to judge events and transfer and innovate also needs to be improved, and it requires the encouragement and guidance of teachers.(授课教师与本班学生经过近一年多时间相处,形成了轻松和谐的师生关系。学生的英语基础有了很大的提升(平均分大概在 75-90分),词汇量贫乏,学习英语的热情有较大提升,参与课堂活动比较积极。有一定的阅读能力和逻辑推理能力,能够运用阅读技巧获取和分析文章表层信息,但学生在读后续写上得分仅仅7-9分,怎样进行读后续写还需要进一步引领和指导。学生在整合、归纳文本内容并用英语转述的能力非常薄弱。学生运用所学知识,对事件进行评判的能力以及迁移创新的能力也亟待提高,需要教师的鼓励和指导。)
三、教学目标
By the end of this class, the students will be able to… 1. develop a clear recognition of the issues present in their own continuation writing; 2. read for the 6 elements (5w+1H) and the theme. 3. understand the theme running through the whole story. 4. make clear of the structure of writing and know how to write down the five fixed sentences.
四、教学重难点
教学重点: 1.How to continue writing according to the given text; 2.Enable the students to build up the structure of continuation writing with 5 sentences; 3.Cultivate the students to form the spirits of thinking creatively. 教学难点: Enable the students to grasp how to continue writing according to the given text .
五、教学过程

Step 1 Leading in (3’) Activity1:Free talk& guessing game Analyze the problems in continuation writing.(Free talk) Understand the marking criteria for continuation writing - what are tested ( guessing game---guess the numbers 1245) 通过展出学生的日常续写作业,让学生主动去发现问题,引出课堂主题,师生互动,引出阅读文本的话题,激活学生的思维和语言,形成对读后续写的期待。 了解读后续写评分原则,让学生认识到构建续写框架的重要性 利用AI制作的数字人播报续写评分标准,猜数字引入课堂主题--定五句搭建续写写作框架 文化意识:了解文本背景知识。 学习能力:感知话题语言,提升语言表达和思维能力。
Step 2 Reading 1 (10’) Activity2: reading for the 6 elements &2 lines Find out the basic elements of the text.( 5w+1h )Who: What : When : Where:Why: How: Tick out the useful sentences while reading;read for 2 lines(the The plot line&the emotion line) Activity2:Reading for the plot &emotions Feel the development of the character’s emotions Emotions: Doubt、unwilling→ encouraged→ agreed→ devoted→satisfied → → The main idea of the text: 通过阅读全文,确定文本基本信息以及故事情节的发展与主要人物的情绪发展。 语言能力:通过阅读梳理文本信息能力。 学习能力:提升阅读归纳总结能力。 语言能力:阅读描述事件发展过程的叙事文体,获取信息。 学习能力:培养学生抓住文章主要脉络的,善于归纳分析的能力。
Step 3 Reading 2 (7’) Activity3: Reading for creation I Predict the ending and compose the plot (预测故事走向)by analyzing the two given sentences. Read the given sentences and ask your partner 3 questions according to the key words. Para 1 A few weeks later, when I almost forgot the contest, there came the news. Para 2 I went to my teacher’s office after the award presentation. II Read for theme The theme: 引导学生注意所给的两个首句的逻辑以及与所给已学文本的关系,以提高他们的续写能力;通过分析所给段首句预测故事走向故事和结尾,结合首句与原文呼应原则,构思两段情节。 思维品质:通过文本读后续写,培养学生创新思维能力和逻辑推理能力。 学习能力: 1.培养学生概括和思辨能力; 2.能够理解文本浅层与深层信息,读懂文本的主题意义。 文化意识:文本是主题是人与社会,人与自我,在理清文本脉络过程中让学生从文中的“我”学会相信自己,勇于挑战,超越自我,克服困难,实现自我成长精神。

How to build up the structure of writing 1、 读原文 ------确定基本信息( 5w+1h ) 读两段提示语 ------- 构建故事情节 两读之后定主题 ------- 积极向上、正能量 4、 合理衔接,构建写作框架-----设定固定的 5句 (三步骤) Paragraph 1: 第4句:P1续写首句 Paragraph 2: 第5句:P2续写首句 第 2句: P2结尾句 第1句:P1结尾句 第3句:主旨升华句 教学设计反思: 本节课以主题How to build up the structure of continuation writing为教学目标,采用2023年高考英语II卷真题的读后续写为选材,针对学生平时写作练习中出现的问题,从发现问题---寻找原因---探究方法的方式来解决问题为驱动,引导学生在获取语篇表层信息的基础上,通过筛选信息、分析对比、综合概括等活动,逐步挖掘语篇的深层信息和实现深度学习。本节课通过展出学生的日常续写作业,让学生主动去发现问题,引出课堂主题。教学过程中,借助高考真题的文本信息,解读高考读后续写题型的解题策略与技能,帮助学生逐步深入地思考与探讨,在迅速获取文章主题(theme)、关键信息(5W1H)、把控语篇结构活动中达成教学目标,即:在该语篇学习后,学生能掌握定五句搭建续写写作框架的技能,能对文章的主题意义进行深入思考。让学生实现语言能力、文化意识、思维品质和学习能力的融合发展,让学科核心素养能够在课堂教学中真正落地。不足在于练习量不够,可以利用AI平台提供更多相关的巩固练习
