一、学生分析
到目前为止,学生学英语已有五年多,(三年
( http: / / www.21cnjy.com )级开始),渐渐形成用英语获取信息、处理信息、分析问题和解决问题的能力。我从六年级开始教本届学生,我想让学生乐在其中并学在其中,因此我特别注重提高课堂的趣味性和学生用英语进行思维和表达的能力。他们学习英语方法由死记硬背转型向理解型并应用到交际上,他们有自己的学习技能和策略,学会把语言学习与现实生活和兴趣联系起来。通过任务型课堂活动和学习,学生的学习自主性得到加强,不再认为英语的课堂学习很枯燥,主动参与到活动中去,成为课堂的主体,同时也加强了与他人交流合作的能力。不过,本班学生的水平参差不齐,有些差距还相当大,因此在教学过程中,布置的任务要兼顾各个层次的学生,使他们都有所收获。

主要讲述一个加拿大男孩Michael的社区生活,他的社区里有什么,最喜欢什么地方,平时经常做什么,字里行间流露出热爱社区的思想。
本课是第四单元”My
Neighbour
( http: / / www.21cnjy.com )hood”的第四课,和学生生活实际比较贴近,易于激发学生的学习兴趣。前三课已经学习了社区中的一些地点名称、问路与指路,在此基础上,这节课主要希望学生能模仿文章,说出社区中有哪些设施、地点及其位置关系,可以做什么事,并谈论喜好。但是对于
“neighbourhood”这个概念存在文化差异。因此,我通过出示一张社区图进行介绍来导入生词,让学生在情境中体会“neighbourhood”的概念,为阅读训练做铺垫。让学生在语境中了解其含义,然后在语境中操练,并加入文化信息曲棍球(hockey)的介绍,使学生拓展视野,增进跨文化了解,激发兴趣。

掌握本课的单词及句子结构是重点,模仿课文描述自己的社区是难点。
五、教学设计思路
先利用游戏和自我展示引起兴趣,然后出示
( http: / / www.21cnjy.com )目标,让学生学习有的放矢。通过介绍一幅社区图导入生词学习,学习课文前,插入曲棍球知识,培养学生的跨文化意识。对于课文的处理:先听录音填空,初步了解文章大意,然后读课文,判断句子对错,再次感知文章内容,再读课文,把握文章结构,理清作者思路,接下来让学生再读课文,小组讨论填社区结构图,再次感知文章脉络,把握作者思路。跟读录音,培养语感,读后整理文章思路及相关句子,而后小组活动,用相关句子进行看图说话,为写作做铺垫。

、读的能力的培养,为学生创设大量机会思考和实践,使尽量多的学生参与课堂,充分显示了以学生为主体的教学理念。不足之处是引入部分的游戏和自我展示环节用时过多,导致后面时间有些紧,学生小组看图说话活动不充分。
