一般情况下直接加-ly quick—quickly, great—greatly
绝大多数辅音字母加e结尾的形容词直接加-ly；少数以e结尾的形容词，要去掉e再加-ly polite—politely, wise—wisely, true—truly

以y结尾的，且读音为/i/，先变y为i，再加-ly；如果读音为/a /，直接加-ly happy—happily, heavy—heavily

规则变化 (一) 构成方法 例词
直接加-er，-est short—shorter—shortest
以不发音字母e结尾时加-r, -st late—later—latest
辅音字母加y结尾时，把y变i，再加-er，-est hungry—hungrier—hungriest
以一个辅音字母结尾的重读闭音节词，双写这一个辅音字母再加-er，-est fat—fatter—fattest

形容词和副词原级及比较等级的用法

原级
表示两者在某一方面相同：as+原级+as Jack is as tall as his father.杰克和他的父亲一样高。
表示两者在某一方面不同：A+be /动词+not+so / as+原级+ as+B Jack is not as / so tall as his father.

那架飞机的飞行高度是风筝的十倍。
修饰词：very, so, too, enough, quite It’s too cold to go outside.外面太冷了，不能出去。
比较级+than You run faster than me. 你比我跑得快。
比较级+and+比较级/ more and more + adj./adv.原级 The baby cried harder and harder.
那个孩子哭得越来越厉害。

the+比较级，the+比较级 The sooner, the better. 越早越好。
倍数+形容词/副词的比较级+than The tree is three times taller than that one.
这棵树比那棵树高两倍。
the +比较级+of the two+可数名词复数 He is the cleverer of the two boys.
他是两个男孩中较聪明的那一个。
修饰词：much, even, far, a little, a lot, a bit He works much harder than ever.
他工作比以往更努力了。

one of+the+形容词最高级+可数名词复数 [福建人文信息] Xiamen is one of the most beautiful cities in China.厦门是中国最美丽的城市之一。

标志词in/of/among表示范围 She is the oldest of us all. 她是我们所有人中最年长的。
