柏拉图(Plato，Πλατ ν， 公元前427年-公元前347年)，是古希腊伟大的哲学家，也是整个西方文化最伟大的哲学家和思想家之一。
柏拉图和老师苏格拉底，学生亚里士多德并称为希腊三贤。他创造或发展的概念包括:柏拉图思想、柏拉图主义、柏拉图式爱情等。他一生著述颇丰，其教学思想主要集中在《理想国》(The Republic)和《法律篇》中。柏拉图的《理想国》一书是他的代表作，涉及到了政治学、教育学、伦理学、哲学等多个领域，思想博大精深，几乎代表了整个希腊的文化。2015年11月，《理想国》在英国“学术图书周”中，被评为最具影响力的20本学术书。

一般现在时的被动语态
I. 被动语态的概念
一般现在时被动语态表示现阶段经常性、习惯性的被动动作，由主语+is/am/are+及物动词过去分词构成，需要说明动作执行者时可加上by+动作执行者，句中主语就是原主动语态的宾语，动作执行者就是原主动语态的主语。is/am/are由主语的单复数形式而定，主语为第三人称单数名词或代词时用is，主语为I时用am。主语为复数名词或代词或时用are。

主语(动作接受者) + is / am / are + 及物动词的过去分词 (+by+ 动作执行者).
e.g. Table tennis is played in most countries in the world.
I am moved to tears by the movie.
The children are not allowed to go out at night.

5.被动语态的用法
一般说来，有下面几种情况需用被动语态：
(1) 不知道谁是动作的执行者时。
Salt is produced in East and South China.盐产于中国的东部和南部。
(2) 需要强调动作的承受者时。
My watch has been repaired.我的手表已经修好了。
(3)没有必要提到动作的执行者时。
This company was set up in 1987.这家公司成立于1987年。
(4)出于委婉而避免提及自己或第三方时。
You are asked to give another performance.
有人请你再表演一个节目。
(5) 当动作的执行者不是人的时候。
We were stopped from going home by a heavy rain.
