Recently, many people in Chengdu, Sichuan saw a flying object crossing the sky. It was so strange that it has caused a heated discussion among people.
Most people don’t think that it is a plane because it was moving so fast without making any sound. Then what could it be Some people hold the view that it belongs to the aliens who are trying to reach the Earth and study our planet. However, that sounds too strange to be true. Another popular idea is that the object could be a fireball crossing the sky. A fireball is usually very bright and it looks like a fire dragon as it flies across the sky.
As far as I am concerned, I also guess it might be a fireball, but I can’t be sure. I’ll ask my science teacher for help or find more information about it on the Internet.

Recently, many people in Chengdu, Sichuan saw a glowing flying object streaking（疾驰）across the sky. It emitted（发出）a soft yet bright light, which was so strange that it has sparked a fierce debate among the public.
Most people don’t think it is a plane. That’s because it moved much faster than a regular plane—even faster than a jet fighter（喷气式战斗机）—and made no sound at all. Some curious people even say it might be a spaceship from aliens who are exploring our planet. But this guess seems too hard to believe, as there is no reliable（可靠的）evidence to prove the existence of alien spaceships so far. Another more reasonable idea is that it could be a fireball—a kind of natural phenomenon（现象）made of rock or metal from space. When it enters the Earth’s atmosphere, it burns up, producing bright light and looking like a fiery dragon as it slides through the night sky.
As for me, I tend to agree with the fireball idea, though I don’t have strong evidence. I plan to look for related scientific explanations online to solve this mystery. This event also reminds me that the universe is full of unknowns, and only through scientific exploration can we uncover（揭开）its secrets step by step.
