教学目标：
.知识目标：
1.能够听、说、读、写本课的重点单词和短语：friendly, shy, save, symbol,flag, forget, get lost, place, water, danger,be in danger, cut down, tree, kill,be made of.
能够熟练掌握特殊疑问词where, why的运用。
、能力目标：
1.能够通过听录音完成课后练习题。
2.能够根据本课所学内容掌握一些关于保护动物的短语和句子。
(三)情感目标：
1.通过学习本课阅读材料，让学生明白我们生存的自然环境正遭受着破坏，我们应该做一些事情来保护我们的自然环境。
2.通过对话表演活动提高学生学习英语的兴趣。
教学重点：
1.能够听、说、读、写本课的重点单词和短语：friendly, shy, save, symbol,flag, forget, get lost, place, water, danger,be in danger, cut down, tree, kill,be made of.
2. 特殊疑问词where, why的运用。

1.如何掌握总结归纳课文大意的技巧。
2.听力技巧的掌握。

课件、图片、单词卡、录音机、磁带，课本。
六、教学过程：
1. Warming-up
检查上节课布置写自己喜欢的小动物的作文，让个别同学展示自己的成果和大家分享。
2.Leading in
通过老师提问引入本课内容。
----What animal do you like?
----I like pandas.
----Why?
----Because they are cute.
----Do you like lions?
----No ,I don't.
----Why don[t you like them?
----Because ....
3.New concepts.
1).教师播放幻灯片4
（1）认真阅读图片所示各种动物。
（2）学生仔细观察所示图片，选出和单词相应的图片。
（3) 小组派代表展示各组结果。
（4）齐读这些动物特点的单词。
2）Think about（幻灯片5）
（1）What animals do you like?
（2）Where are they from?
（3）Why?or why not?
Listening（幻灯片6）
（1）播放录音，完成1b部分
（2）再次播放录音，完成1c部分。然后小组间进行展示各自结果。（幻灯片7）
4)Pair work
两人一组进行根据图片所示进行对话练习特殊疑问why,because的用法。
S1: What animal do you like?
S2: I like elephants .
S1: Why?
S2: Because they’re ....
两人一组反用我们所学短语反复练习特殊一疑问词why,because的表达。（幻灯片8）
Think about（幻灯片9）
（1）给学生一分钟的考虑，找出濒临灭绝的动物。
（2）个别同学展示自己的想法，我们应该做些什么，怎样做来拯救这些动物，尽量用英语。
6）Reading
(1) 仔细阅读课文，读懂课文大意。
（2）仔细考虑选出最佳题目。
想一想，除了本课所提到的泰国象濒临灭绝之外，我国有哪些物种也面临同样的问题。我们应该做些什么。（幻灯片10）
7) Summary
教师总结本节课内容，课后完成练习题。
8）Homework
通过各种渠道了解目前世界上那些动物濒临灭绝，把它们列举出来，然后想想你该如何保护它们。
