About the WiFi devices
The Pocket Travel WiFi devices are the size and shape of a small smartphone. The standard Hotspot Rental and the Sapphire 2 (for purchase) share a similar design with one mini-USB charging port. The cost of purchasing a travel WiFi device is $89 — $109, and then you pay on top of that for data packages ($29.9 for 20 GB in a month). Most frequent travelers buy their own device for convenience.
The rental price is based on the total number of days that you’ll keep the device and how much data you want to use each day. Daily rents range from $6.9 for 1 GB, $12.9 for 2 GB to $16.9 for 3 GB.Week pass ($45.9) with no data limit is also a good choice for short-term travelers.

From the moment we wake up and check the messages on our smartphones, we’re exposed to text design. Throughout our day, storefronts and websites announce themselves through the typefaces (字体) they use. Adonian Chan, a 33-year-old Hong Kong graphic designer, calls the different texts a “visual landscape”.
In his hometown, signs written in traditional Chinese characters can be found around every comer. One calligraphy style, above all, has come to represent Hong Kong: Beiwei Kaishu, which has its origins in 4th-century China. After World War II, Beiwei Kaishu was used widely in Hong Kong signs, partly because it is highly recognizable, even from far distances.
But with the appearance of LED signs and computer-generated typefaces, signs written in the style were disappearing from Hong Kong. As a result, few designers working today are aware of the Beiwei Kaishu style.
In 2016, Chan asked a master of calligraphy in Hong Kong to teach him to write in the Beiwei Kaishu style. He then started the process of digitizing the characters. He first wrote the characters on paper with a brush and ink. Next, he made a pencil sketch (草图). Finally, he recreated the characters digitally, using a computer program called Glyphs.
One of the main challenges when digitizing the ancient calligraphy is striking a balance between the artistic expression and the need of design, says Chan. He can complete two characters a day, depending on their complexity, and is aiming to digitize 6,000 characters.
Chan says his project is more than preserving a centuries-old writing style and that he sees himself as building on the work of previous generations. He has named his typeface Beiwei Zansyu and hopes it will eventually appear on phones and computers.
12.Why was Beiwei Kaishu popular in Hong Kong after World War II
A.It had a long history. B.It could be seen clearly.
C.It was a symbol of Hong Kong. D.It fitted in the “visual landscape”.
13.What leads to the disappearance of Beiwei Kaishu
A.Its pattern. B.Urban development.
C.Its designers. D.New technologies.
14.What can we infer from the last two paragraphs
A.Beiwei Zansyu will be available soon.
B.Beiwei Zansyu looks great on the phone.
C.Chan’s project is time-consuming.
D.Preserving the ancient style is Chan’s only purpose.
15.Which is the best title for the text
A.Digitizing Tradition: Adonian Chan’s Journey with Beiwei Zansyu
B.Hong Kong’s Visual Landscape: Beiwei Kaishu in Signs
C.A Disappearing Typeface: Lost Art in the age of Technologies
D.Calligraphy Grisis Technology Saved Art
三、阅读七选五
School sports meets are exciting events filled with energy and competition. 16 Taking proactive steps to protect yourself can ensure you enjoy every moment without sidelining(退出比赛) yourself with pain or discomfort.
Never skip proper warm-ups. Before diving into any sport, spend 5-10 minutes on dynamic stretches such as leg swings, arm circles, and body twists. 17 This process loosens tight muscles, increases blood flow to your limbs, and readies your body for the sudden bursts of activity that sports demand—all of which significantly lower the risk of strains or pulls.
18 Loose clothing might feel comfortable, but it can get caught in equipment like hurdles or basketball hoops, leading to trips or tugs. Opt for fitted, moisture-wicking fabrics that move with your body instead. Even more crucial is footwear: running shoes with shock-absorbing soles cushion your feet during sprints, while basketball shoes with reinforced ankles prevent awkward twists when changing direction quickly.
Strictly follow the rules. Coaches and organizers design these rules to keep everyone safe. In relay races, for example, passing the baton within the designated zone avoids collisions with other teams. In high jump, waiting for the mat to clear before your attempt prevents dangerous crashes. Ignoring these guidelines isn't just unfair. 19
Don't forget to cool down after competing. Once your event ends, walk briskly for 5-10 minutes instead of collapsing on the grass. Follow this with static(静止的) stretches, holding each position (like touching your toes or stretching your chest) for 15-30 seconds. This helps your heart rate return to normal, reduces muscle tightness, and speeds up recovery. 20
A.Invest in suitable gear(装备).
B.It's a sure way to invite accidents.
C.Prepare good equipment in advance.
D.Or you will end up in the school clinic.
E.And you'll be ready for your next event or practice.
F.However, nothing puts a damper on(使扫兴) the fun like an unexpected injury.
G.Pair these with light jogging or jumping jacks(开合跳) to gradually raise your heart rate.
