Studying is important to students. But it is always difficult 1 (find) enough time to study every subject you need. So a good plan helps you to make sure of your 2 (succeed) in study.
Then, how can we make a study plan Well, begin with listing all the subjects you need to study and make sure 3 you need to do for each subject. Next, decide how much time you should spend 4 different subjects. Now, it is a good idea to study at the same time every day. In this way, you actually have a plan you can remember 5
(easy). While arranging (安排) time for each subject, you also need to make sure that you still have time for family, friends and rest. This is because you won’t be able to succeed in your studies unless you balance your personal life and your study.
Once the plan 6 (make), the next thing you need to do is to follow it. One of the 7 (big) challenges in following your study plan is that you will be tempted (诱惑) to avoid it and do something relaxing or fun instead. Luckily, you can fight this temptation by taking breaks. But the sure not to take extra breaks or too long breaks because it can affect your plan. So at the start of your break, set 8 alarm clock to remind you when your break is over. Also, you need to use your break wisely. For example, go for a short walk, eat a small snack, or listen to some music.
To avoid 9 (forget) to follow your plan, try to get into the habit of looking at your calendar every day. Sometimes our plans are hard to follow 10 some important people in our lives distract (使分心) us from our goals. In order to avoid this, tell people around you about your plan. Dear Dairy,
I took part in the English club held in our school tonight. The topic was “The best ways to learn English”. The members shared their opinions.
Sue learns English by watching videos. But Lisa thinks it’s too hard to understand the spoken English, so she seldom watches them. Lisa likes writing, so she keeps a diary in English. She said it helped to write English every day. Joe learns English by working with a group. He has learned a lot that way. He likes having conversations with friends. His speaking skills improved a lot by doing this. Sometimes, he reads aloud to practice pronunciation. This also helps. As for Dan, he keeps reading as a habit. Every time when he comes across with a new word, he looks it up in a dictionary.
I want to improve my English by using the ways they shared. So I am going to start writing English diaries from today.

Can you swim Do you like swimming Well, how can you learn to swim I think the best way is to go into the water and learn. I’m afraid you’ll never learn to swim just by reading books about Swimming or looking at others swimming. It’s the same with the English study. We must practice, practice and practice.
Listening and speaking are very important for beginners. We can listen to English programs on radio. You may just understand a few words. It doesn’t matter. Just be relaxed, try to catch every word.
Somebody may be a good listener, but he is afraid to speak because he’s afraid of making mistakes. You know we sometimes make mistakes when we speak Chinese. Don’t be afraid. We must be brave. If you really want to learn English well, you must try to speak with everyone as long as he knows English. When there’s nobody to talk with, you can talk to yourself in English. It’s interesting and also a good way to practice your spoken English. Remember, the more you speak, the fewer mistakes you’ll make.
Reading and writing are more important for senior(年级较高的)school students. First we must choose the books we’re interested in. A lot of reading will improve your language sense. This is very important.
It’s easier said than done. Well, let’s do more practice from now on. I’m sure you’ll learn English well in this way.

How happy I am when I understand!
