范文赏析
Dear Bob,
You must be excited about coming to China soon. It’s necessary to learn about Chinese customs before you come here so that you can avoid embarrassment!
开门见山,引出话题,主题明确;句中运用so that 引导目的状语从句解释原因,增强可读性。
First of all, when you eat at table, it’s polite to let elder people start eating first to show your respect to the old. What’s more, you’re not supposed to stick your chopsticks into the food, which is impolite to others. Besides, just make yourself at home in our house, but don’t forget to shake hands when you meet someone for the first time. And its
nice to bring some gifts if you are planning to visit somebody.
逻辑词衔接前后文内容,文章层次清晰
巧用祈使句,并结合时间状语从句,句式丰富
As the saying goes, “When in Rome, do as the Romans do.” I’m sure you will get used to these customs. Have a safe trip, and I look forward to meeting you soon!
Best wishes,
Jack
