学情分析 1. The Ss have known something about the three famous writers through the Internet and other ways.
2.They are lack of vocabulary.
3. They don’t often use English to express themselves and communicate with others. 4. Many students are not active in class and they are afraid of making mistakes.
核心素养目标 According to the student background, my teaching objectives are divided into the following three levels. Firstly through reading, students are able to get the basic information.Secondly,after reading the article ,they can comb the structure of the article Thirdly, students are able to describe the experiences of three writers .
教学 重点 Infer the meaning of the expression in bold and use them to describe the three writers
教学 难点 Gather the useful vocabulary through reading and listening material and learn to use them in speaking

Step 1 Lead in Show a picture with “we regret to inform you” to the students and ask them “ What does this sentence imply ” to inspire student's interest
Step 2 Reading Reading: Read the passage and finish activity 1 lead the students to read the passage quickly and figure out the basic information of the text and do a activity1 .Teacher shows some pictures about writers on the PPT, let students match the writers with his/her information . .Let the student know the author's life experience and the creation background, and close the distance between the students and the article.
Step 3 Listening Activity2:Listening carefully and figure out the genre of the passage. To train fast listening skills
Step 4 Practice Activity3. Read the passage quickly and match the main idea with each paragraph. Activity4.Activity5:After reading the whole article, let the students cooperate to comb out the structure.Read carefully and finish the writers’ personal information. Activity6:Choose another suitable title for the passage.Through the previous reading and analysis of the passage, let the students sum up the main idea and give the right choice. The ability to answer these questions can be used to test students' understanding of the passage.
Step 5 Speaking Activity7 : Read the sentences and answer the questions.This activity provides students a chance to express their opinions and emotions freely and to apply what they have learned to solve new problems. To use the expressions they have learned to express their opinions and emotions freely
Step 6 Summary Activity8:Choose the right item from the box and make the summary complete. Activity9:Think and share,where I encourage my students to think about and share their answers positively.
Homework Read the passage again and underline as many useful expressions as you can. Then choose the writer you admire most and write down his or her stories.
