The Great Wall
When you open a map of China, you are sure to see a line across the northern China. It’s one of the most amazing wonders of the world. People call it the eat Wall of China.
For thousands of years, the Great Wall stood there to keep out “enemies” from the north. Workers in ancient times used earth and stones to build the wall. To help soldiers quickly send messages, the ancient people designed some watchtowers on the wall. This shows the wisdom and hard work of the Chinese people. What’s more, the wall is also important for trade. It protected trading routes such as the Silk Road.
