英语语句节奏基于重读音节(stressed units)和非重读音节(unstressed units),朗读时需清晰读重音,快速读非重音,体现韵律感。

Activity 1
Listen and read the sentences aloud. Pay attention to the rhythms.
The rhythm is based on the units of strong and weak forms. We read the stressed units clearly and the unstressed ones quickly.

Listen and read the sentences. Mark the stresses in each sentence.
Example: She is a teacher.

Stress 重读
实词:在句子中,实词如名词、动词、形容词、副词、数词和代
词通常是需要重读的。
虚词:虚词如冠词、连词、介词,情态动词,人称代词通常不需要重读

look sad 看起来很伤心
look 系动词 +形容词,构成系表结构
2.What’s the problem 你怎么了?
可以用 What’s the matter(with you) / What’s wrong (with you)
3.You can do better next time.下次你可以做得更好。
better“更好”, 是副词well的比较级,修饰do。
4. If you have any problem, you can always come to me.如果你有任何问题,你可以随时来找我。
If “如果”,引导条件状语从句,当主句有情态动词时,从句要用一般现在时。
5.They often helped me with my English.他们经常帮助我学习英语。
help sb with sth 在某方面帮助某人
help sb do sth 帮助某人做某事
eg: He often helps me study English.他经常帮助我学习英语。
6. You can keep in touch with them and make new friends here.你可以和他们保持联系,在这里结交新朋友。
keep in touch with sb 和某人保持联系
make new friends 交新朋友
7. But I don’t know how to start.但我不知道怎么开始。
how to start 为“特殊疑问词+ to do sth ”结构。
eg: I don’t know when to go there
8. I can recommend here to you.我不知道什么时候去那里。
recommend sb/sth to sb 把某物/某人推荐给某人
eg: I will recommend my fiend to you.我将向你推荐我的朋友。
