(Li Dan) Hello, everyone. This is Li Dan from QHB TV. I am reporting from Hoh Xil, Qinghai.
Hoh Xil is a special place in the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. Just like its meaning “beautiful girl” in Mongolian, Hoh Xil is famous for its amazing natural beauty and its unique ecological importance. It entered the World Heritage List in 2017.
Now, I am standing near the major headwaters area of the Changjiang River. Follow our camera and you can see the breathtaking plateau landscapes, beautiful snow-capped mountains, deep blue lakes, and green wetlands.
How do people working here feel about this area Let’s talk to Dorji. Hello, Dorji! Can you tell us something about this beautiful place
(Dorji) Hi, Li Dan. I work at the Hoh Xil Protection Station. I think Hoh Xil is truly a heaven for wild animals. There are more than 230 different kinds of animals, such as brown bears, wolves, and eagles. The most famous one is the Tibetan antelope. Between May and August every year, thousands of these lovely creatures travel through here. It is amazing. I really love this place.
