Learning objectives
In this lesson, students will be able to:
Master key words and phrases related to great rivers, such as “the Yellow River” “the Changjiang River” “the Nile” and “the Amazon River”, etc.
Understand and correctly use comparative and superlative adjectives, like “longer” “longest” “faster” “widest”, etc., to make comparisons as required by the New Curriculum Standards.
Develop students’ listening and speaking abilities through reading and answering questions about the conversation on great rivers. They should be able to accurately understand and respond to questions about the lengths, characteristics and significance of different rivers.
