Learning objectives
In this lesson, we will be able to:
Identify physics-related questions by understanding the scope of physics, such as recognizing that questions about gravity like “Why can we stand on the ground ” and “Why do leaves fall ” are physics problems.
Through listening to the conversation about learning physics, students can improve their listening comprehension skills, and be able to extract key information such as study tips for learning physics.
Cultivate students’ positive attitude towards learning difficulties. Just like Wang Mei asking for help bravely and Li Lin being willing to assist, students are encouraged to seek and offer help in learning, and develop a cooperative learning spirit.

Good morning! My name is Li Heng. I graduated from this school ten years ago, and now I work as a translator. I am very happy to be here today to share some of my English learning experiences with you.
We should build confidence in our learning. When I began learning English, I found it so hard. I was afraid to speak in front of the class. But my teacher said, “You can start by making a study plan. Don’t worry about making mistakes.” I followed her tips. I read the words and passages aloud every morning and I tried to speak loudly in class. I began to feel confident.
Actually, there are many ways to learn English. We may read English stories, newspapers, and magazines. We can join an English club, listen to English songs, or watch TV shows, ads, and the news in English. Which ways work best for you Try them and find out! As for me, I wrote about my daily experiences and feelings in my diary. I watched a lot of English cartoons and movies. All these worked.
Last but not least, we must try our best to explore ourselves. We can take part in challenging language tasks. I was active in many online English forums. I tried to express my thoughts and ask questions in English. I took part in English contests. English became my favourite subject later. It’s all about hard work.
