One day, suddenly the bull found a young lion coming towards the cave. He felt in danger, so he reminded himself to keep calm and try to protect himself.
When the lion came close to the bull, the bull shouted to the cave, “dear, don’t make lunch. I found a lion now.” The lion turn around and ran away quickly for fear. On the way to escape(逃跑), the lion happened to meet a wolf. The wolf asked him why he ran in such a hurry. He told the wolf what had just happened. “Ha ha... Mr. lion, as the king of grassland, why are you afraid of a bull ” with a smile the wolf said, “follow me and now let’s go to eat the bull together.” But the lion didn’t believe in the wolf. After a while the wolf came up with a good idea. He said, “tie our tails together and I’ll lead you there in front.”
The lion was glad to agree with the wolf. When the bull saw them, he shouted at the wolf without panicking, “I have regard you as my two lions. Do you want me keep my children hungry ”
Only then did the lion realize that the wolf was fooling him. He was so terrified that he ran as fast as he could dragging(拖) the wolf with him. Since then, neither the lion nor the wolf has come back here.

故选A。
Passage 4
Do you sometimes feel that you’re living a boring life You just can’t seem to find anything exciting.
You wake up in the morning, then do the same old rituals (程序). You go to the office or to school. You meet the same people, do the same job, travel the same road, boring. Next day, the same story.
Do you want a change in your life The solution is YOU! You’re the master of your destiny. You decide if you want to have a change or not. Take the situation of a high school graduate. He has 2 choices—to continue through college or earn money working as a clerk. He’s afraid of the difficulties of studying, thesis, etc. He doesn’t think he will pass the exams because he thinks he’s below average. He doesn’t like to take the risk of failing college and earning no money at present.
So he works as a clerk earning meager income. He’s happy because he’s earning money at such a young age while his friends are having a hard time. But then his friends graduated and got high-paying jobs. He envies them. If only he have sacrificed (牺牲) a few years and faced all the challenges of college, then he could have had a better life. If only he had taken the risk!
There are also some people who want to improve their lives, but they’re just too afraid to come out of their comfort zones and explore the endless opportunities out there. Yes, there may be challenges and problems, but if you try your best to move forward, you’ll get more out of life. Explore and diversity. Take a different route to work, eat exotic foods you’ve never tasted, do something outrageous (not dangerous).
Life could be exciting. It’s your choice. Are you satisfied with your life right now If not, then you need to do the things that you think will make your life complete and meaningful. You’ve got only one life to live. Make the best use of every opportunity. Go out and do those things which will leave lasting memories in your mind. Live every day as if it’s your last.

If only he had faced all the challenges of college, he could have had a better life. 接下来第五段最后两句…but if you try your best to move forward, you’ll get more out of life. Take a different route to work, and do something outrageous (not dangerous). Make the best use of every opportunity. Go out and do those things that will leave last memories in your mind.
He doesn’t like to take the risk of failing college and earning no money at present. So he works as a clerk earning meager money.
There are also some people who want to improve their lives, but they’re just too afraid to come out of their comfort zones and explore the endless opportunities out there. 故选A。
故选A。
Passage 5
Scientists think that most animals can’t see colors. The world is black and white to them.
To find out if dogs could see colors, scientists gave some dogs food every time they played a certain piece of music. The dogs got ready to eat only when they heard this piece of music. They did not get ready to eat when they heard other pieces of music.
Then the scientists gave the dogs food every time they showed them a certain color. The dogs got ready to eat when they saw this color. The scientists then showed the dogs another color. Again the dogs got ready to eat. The colors were all the same to them. So we know dogs can differentiate(辨别) voice. But they can’t see colors.
Colors are not all the same to the monkeys, however, for example, if we put food in a red box and do this every day, a monkey will always go to the red box to get the food. If we then put the food in a blue box, the monkey won’t go to it.
( )1. Dogs can tell differences of pieces of music.
( )2. Not all animals can see colors.
( )3. The world is very colorful to dogs.
( )4. Monkeys don’t like the food in the blue box.
( )5. Scientists found that monkeys are cleverer than dogs in the article.
T 2. T 3. F 4. F 5. F

故选A。
Passage 3
【答 案】1~5 ABCDB
故选A。
Passage 4
【答 案】1~5 DCAAC
If only he had faced all the challenges of college, he could have had a better life. 接下来第五段最后两句…but if you try your best to move forward, you’ll get more out of life. Take a different route to work, and do something outrageous (not dangerous). Make the best use of every opportunity. Go out and do those things that will leave last memories in your mind.
He doesn’t like to take the risk of failing college and earning no money at present. So he works as a clerk earning meager money.
There are also some people who want to improve their lives, but they’re just too afraid to come out of their comfort zones and explore the endless opportunities out there. 故选A。
故选A。
Passage 5
T 2. T 3. F 4. F 5. F
