Section Ⅳ Writing应用文写作——人物描写类
本单元的写作任务是应用文写作，主题为人物描写。在写作此类型作文时，需将代表人物的重要事迹交代清楚，其他事情可以缩略性地一笔带过。如果想要有升华文章主题的效果，可以在结尾处(最后一段)抒发自己的感想，如从该人物身上学习到的精神，在生活中自己要怎么做等等。
1．开头常用句式
①It's that kind of courage and determination that makes him such a remarkable character.
正是那种勇气和决心使他成为这样卓越的人物。
②Everyone admires her strength of character and determination.
每一个人都钦佩她坚强的性格和决心。
③He is renowned for his outstanding contributions to his career.
他因对事业的杰出贡献而出名。
2．主体段落常用句式
①He's been doing the same job for 50 years—man and boy.
他从小就干着同一份工作，有50年了。
②He possesses a combination of talent and perseverance.
他兼具才华和毅力。
③David was not the sort of person who found it easy to talk about his feelings.
