I

I

I
went

Soon,
there

Du
Yijun,
a
21-year-old
Fudan
University
student,
was
one
of
the
36
people
died
in
the
crush
on
New
Year's
Eve
on
the
Bund(外滩)
in
Shanghai.
On
the
night
of
December
31,
2014,
a
holiday
celebration
turned
into
a
terrible
tragedy.
"Overcrowding(过度拥挤)
and
the
failure
of
the
police
to
control
the
crowds
were
the
main
reason
it
happened,"
the
authorities(官方)
said.
For
the
last
three
year,
light
shows
on
the
Bund
have
been
successfully
held
for
New
Year's
Eve
celebrations,
but
this
year
the
light
show
was
canceled
and
there
were
fewer
police
on
hand.
But
the
crowds
came
anyway.
About
300,000
people
were
on
the
Bund
by
8:00
that
evening
and
more
kept
arriving
until
people
suddenly
became
noisy
and
angry
around
11:30.
Some
people
fell
on
the
stairs
and
were
stepped
heavily
on
and
died.
In
Shanghai,
the
authorities
have
reacted(作出反应)
to
the
Bund
tragedy
by
canceling
big
events.
But
this
isn't
really
necessary.
Better
planning
and
better
crowd
control
can
make
sure
the
celebrations
are
safe.
However,
if
you're
going
to
a
place
where
there
will
be
a
big
crowd,
you
should
take
notice
of
where
the
exits(出口)
are,
and
if
there
are
too
many
people,
move
away
from
the
center
of
the
crowd.
And
most
importantly,
if
the
crowd
seems
too
big
and
makes
you
feel
uncomfortable,
just
leave.
No
celebration
is
worth
losing
your
life
over.

The

We
use
passwords(密码)
to
keep
our
personal
information
secret
and
safe,
but
some
passwords
we
use
may
not
be
as
reliable
as
we
think.
Splash
Data,
a
computer
security
company,
recently
released
a
list
of
the
25
worst
passwords
of
2011.
This
list
is
based
on
the
research
of
hackers'
files
containing
stolen
passwords.
According
to
the
list,
"password"
is
the
worst
and
most
common
password.
Many
others
on
the
list
are
numbers
in
order
either
forward(for
example,
1234)
or
backward.
Letters
on
the
keyboard
in
order,
such
as
"qwerty"
are
also
common,
as
well
as
some
first
names
and
animals.
"Hackers
can
easily
break
into
many
accounts(账户)
just
by
trying
common
passwords
again
and
again,"
said
Morgan
Slain,
CEO
of
Splash
Data.
How
can
you
make
a
strong
password
It
should
be
eight
characters
or
more,
with
a
mix
of
letters,
numbers
and
symbols.
One
way
to
create
a
long
and
easy-to-remember
password
is
to
separate
short
words
with
spaces
or
numbers.
Having
safe
passwords
is
necessary
for
surfing
the
Internet
safely.
But
it's
not
the
only
thing
you
must
do
to
keep
safety
online.
Here
are
some
other
web
safety
tips:
●Never
give
out
information
that
will
allow
someone
to
find
you
offline.
That
includes
your
full
name,
address
and
phone
number.
●Don't
include
your
real
name
as
part
of
your
online
screen
name.
●Never
meet
people
you
met
on
the
Internet
in
person.
If
you
insist
on
breaking
this
rule,
meet
in
a
very
public
place
and
consider
taking
an
adult
with
you.

Every
day
in
China,
about
200

Many

happened
in
Gansu,
a
nine-seat

There

should
we

To

decided
to
make
the
school
buses
safer.

April
5,
our
government
published(出台)
new
rules
about
school
bus
safety.
These
rules
are
much
stricter
than
the
old
ones
Under
the
new
rules,
local
governments
(地方政府)
must
reduce(减少)
traffic
risks
when
students
go
to
nearby
schools
by
school
bus.
Also,
local
governments
must
help
kids
in
the
countryside
reach
their
school
buses.
From
now
on,
school
buses
have
a
speed
limit
(限速).
Other
cars
must
let
school
buses
go
first.
The
new
rules
also
say
that
school
buses
must
never
be
overloaded(超载的).
There
are
many
other
rules,
too.
A
school
bus
must
have
more
than
seven
seats.
On
each
bus,
there
must
be
at
least
one
adult
to
look
after
the
kids.
Each
school
bus
must
have
a
fire
extinguisher
(灭火器),
a
first
aid
kit
(急救箱)
and
a
GPS.
