1．开头常用句式
①Last weekend, the Xinhua High School Fall Games took place on our playground, lasting two days.
上周末，新华高中秋季运动会在我们的操场上举行，为期两天。
②Last week, I participated in our school sports meet, where I competed in the 400 meter race—a thrilling and unforgettable experience.

③I'm writing to tell you something about the football match between our school football team and yours last Wednesday.

On April 10, the basketball final between Class 1 and Class 2 began on the basketball court.
