Where in the classroom do you prefer to sit, and why Scientists have discovered that seating preference not only shows students’ personalities, but has a great effect on their school performance. Generally speaking, students show different attitudes depending on where they sit. Based on the research, scientists have developed a funnel-like (像漏斗的) model of “learning zones (区域)” to see the relationship between seating and active learning.
In this model, the mouth of the funnel (A) is the best position for learning. Students in this front area prove to be the most active learners. They show a greater desire (渴求) for learning, which leads them to focus better and take a more active part than the rest of the class. Those in the neck of the funnel (B) don’t pay the same close attention, but they ask a lot of questions, partly because of the added confidence they feel from being in a safe zone, with others around them. Less desirable is the area “outside the funnel” (C, D), which refers to the side and the back rows, where students take a less active part in classroom activities and find it hard to focus their attention, falling asleep at times.
Studies about learning zones suggest that a change in traditional seating plans can benefit students. In fact, a growing number of teachers have begun less traditional seating plans, such as “U-Type”. There are no side and back areas, so teachers can expect their students to take part in activities more actively and increase student-teacher interaction (互动).
28. According to scientists, what influences students’ learning greatly
A. The size of the classroom. B. The number of students.
C. Seating positions. D. The time of class.
29. Which is the most proper area for learning
A. Area A. B. Area B. C. Area C. D. Area D.
30. It turns out that the students sitting in Area B ________.
A. sometimes fall asleep B. feel safe and confident
C. was asked a lot of questions D. try to avoid looking directly at the teacher
31. Where is the text probably taken from

C. A science textbook. D. An education magazine.

Artificial intelligence (AI) models have long gone beyond just creating text responses and images. Now, with only one sentence, OpenAI’s latest text-to-video model, Sora, can turn your words into video with good visual quality while completely following your content instructions.
Sora is said to be better than many other existing models with similar functions. The AI model can create videos at suitable aspect ratios (屏幕高宽比) for different devices. It also lets users quickly test out content in lower quality before making the high-quality version, which helps speed up output according to the user’s requests.
Apart from this, its ability to present videos in a lifelike and smooth manner is surprising. Sora can create detailed scenes with several characters, specific types of motion, and accurate (准确的) subject and background details. Beyond the user’s requests, it also understands how these elements exist in the real world. For example, reflections in the water change as a woman walks by.
However, the current model isn’t perfect. It may have trouble accurately showing how things move in a complicated scene and might not get how one action leads to another. For example, if someone eats part of a cookie in a Sora-made video, the cookie might not look like it’s been bitten into. The model might mix up directions and find it hard to describe events in the right order. One possible reason is that Sora learns each basic unit of a video, known as a spacetime patch (时空补丁), independently.
Sora is still in the testing stage of development. OpenAI is now inviting network security professionals to make random attacks on Sora’s system in order to test the model’s possible weaknesses and risks. Sora has also been open to some visual artists, designers and filmmakers. Their feedback will help OpenAI to improve the model to better serve creative professionals.
32. What is the main focus of paragraphs 2 and 3
A. Sora’s strengths. B. Sora’s origins.
C. Sora’s development. D. Sora’s popularity.
33. Why does the author provide the example in paragraph 4
A. To show Sora’s safety problems.
B. To show Sora’s existing weaknesses.
C. To show Sora’s perfect performance.
D. To explain the concept of a spacetime patch.
34. What can we know about Sora up to now
A. It has experienced testing and improvement.
B. It has enjoyed great popularity.
C. It has made random attacks.
D. It has been applied in various industries.
35. What’s the best title for the text
A. Sora: A perfect text-to-video AI model B. Sora: Better than existing ChatGPT
C. Sora: Known as a spacetime patch D. Sora: Lead the way in creating videos
