本单元的写作任务是应用文写作，主题为写一封景点的推荐信。推荐信在用语上应礼貌、周到；对于所推荐的人、事物或事件应详细讲述推荐的原因及可能给对方带来的好处等。景点类的推荐信通常可分为三部分：
开头——总体介绍，引出所推荐的景点。
主体——详细介绍此地的特色，如风景名胜、著名建筑，并阐述推荐该地的理由。
结尾——表示祝愿及欢迎。
1．开头常用句式
①Learning that you are coming to visit China, I'd like to recommend several places of interest to you.
得知你将来中国游览，我想向你推荐几处名胜。
②I'm really excited and eager to introduce some places of this country to you.
我真的很兴奋并渴望向你介绍这个国家的一些地方。
③I'm more than glad/pleased/delighted to learn that you are going to Beijing, and I'd like to offer my recommendation.
得知你要去北京我很高兴，我想向你提议。
2．主体段落常用句式
①Hainan Province consists of Hainan Island and neighbouring isles as well as wide sea areas.
海南省由海南岛和附近的小岛及广阔的海域组成。
②I recommend that you sleep in a tent at night so that you can get close to nature.
我建议你晚上睡在帐篷中以便你可以亲近大自然。
③The old town dates back to the late seventeenth century.
这座古城建于十七世纪后期。
④China lies in the east of Asia and on the western coast of the Pacific Ocean.
中国位于亚洲东部，太平洋的西岸。
⑤Beijing has many places of interest, among which is the Forbidden City.
北京有许多名胜，其中包括故宫。
⑥One third of the island is covered with forest.

3．结尾常用句式
