根据下文“35 per person for what is usually a three course meal”可知,这是Manuela 为客人提供的晚餐的收费标准,即每人收费(charges) 35欧元。

2.选A 根据上文“The pounding raindrops felt like tiny, icy spears”可知,滂沱大雨像细小的冰矛,所以此处指雨“攻击”着作者的脸,强调雨的猛烈。故选A。
4.选D 根据上文“the monkey bars or swings I used to go on”可知,单杠和秋千是作者小时候玩的,所以此处指作者还是个“孩子”的时候。故选D。
故选A。
故选A。
8.选C 根据语境和下文“It's during ...life's ________.”
9.选A 根据下文“Angry at my boss Mad at my partner?” 故选A。
10.选D 根据上文“Angry at my boss Mad at my partner?”
根据下文“pass on my joy of biking to my son”可知,作者想把骑行的快乐传递给儿子,所以作者“决心”这样做。故选C。
根据下文“for my legs weren't moving very fast”可知,儿子认为作者的腿移动得不快,所以觉得作者一定“累”了。故选D。
14.选B 根据下文“rather than just rush to the destination”可知,骑自行车不只是冲向目的地,所以它不仅仅是一种“交通”方式。故选B。
