We may have taken in a lot of information, and known how to access it. But is there something else we should have learned in school
Albert Einstein said, “Education is not the learning of facts but the training of the mind to think.”
Learning how to think is more than just memorizing a list of facts and figures. Learning how to think for yourself includes forming opinions and making decisions based on your own understanding. Be curious and question everything. Re-examine your views and values often enough and be open to opposing(极不相同的) viewpoints. By using critical thinking skills, you can base your decisions on gathered facts, and know that things can change if new information is presented.
From the wisdom of ancient Greece come the words, “Know yourself.” By understanding your feelings and discovering your strengths and weaknesses, you develop self-awareness. That will help you make decisions and pursue(追逐) goals in your best interests. Philosopher Aristotle said, “Knowing yourself is the beginning of all wisdom”, which is the basic quality of having experience, knowledge and good judgment.
Combined with the lessons we learned from the formal education, thinking for yourself allows you to find your place in the world. Once equipped, you can move forward to discover your own destiny(命运).

If you have a big test approaching or just want to do well in class, studying is one of the best things you can do to improve your grade. Even though revising things you already learned might seem boring, you'll feel a lot more comfortable with the material.  1 
Study in 1-hour blocks.
Keep your study time shorter so you don't get tired. Set aside(留出) an hour for each of your subjects so you have time to brush up on them.  2  In this way, you don't get information mixed up between classes.

Step away for a few minutes every hour so you don't feel overworked. Since studying takes up a lot of energy and brainpower, schedule 5-10 minutes every hour where you just relax. Avoid working through the breaks.
Schedule time to study every day.

Study somewhere quiet.

My Chinese-speaking experience
It's one thing to learn a language, but it's quite another when you finally get to use it.
On the 1  from Venice to Paris, a group of girls of my age sat around me. I had caught enough of the conversation to know that they were speaking Chinese, but at first I didn't feel it  2  to start a conversation with the stranger next to me. If it didn't  3  well, I'd be stuck next to them for the rest of the flight.
