In June 2025, 18-year-old musician Mia Wang started a project called “Melody of Hope”. The project brings music education to children in rural (农村的) areas of China, where many schools lack art resources.
Music, as a universal language, can bring joy and inspiration. However, in many rural schools, there are no music teachers or instruments. Mia’s project aims to transform that. She collects used musical instruments from cities, repairs them, and donates them to rural schools. “Every child deserves the chance to enjoy music,” Mia said.
What makes Mia’s project unique is her interactive teaching method. She doesn’t just give away instruments; she also trains local teachers and sets up online music classes. For example, in a village in Yunnan Province, Mia taught the children to play the guitar through live streams (直播). The children were so excited that they formed a band and performed at the school’s annual (年度的) festival.
Mia also organizes music camps during summer vacation. These camps allow children from different villages to come together and learn music. “It’s amazing to see how music connects these kids,” Mia noted. Her project has already helped over 2,000 children, and many of them have developed a lifelong love for music.
Though Mia has achieved a lot, she stays modest. “This is a team effort. Many people have helped make this possible,” she said. With her deep love for music, Mia will surely continue to spread the melody of hope.

Photography is not just a hobby for adults — teenagers can get great value from learning to take photos. You don’t need an expensive professional camera; even a smartphone with a decent lens (镜头) is enough to start on this journey. Whether you capture shots of natural landscapes, moments with friends, or scenes of daily life, photography can bring you a lot of unique benefits.
One of the best things about photography is that it helps you preserve special moments. When you look back at the photos you took months or years later, you can remember the joyous times with your family during festivals, the beautiful sunset that painted the sky in orange and purple hues, or the nervous excitement of your first day of high school. “I have a photo book filled with pictures from my summer vacation,” says 16-year-old Jake. “Every time I open it, I think of the road trips with my dad and the little cafes we stopped at along the way.”
Photography also develops your ability to observe the world carefully. To take a great photo, you need to notice tiny, easily overlooked details — like the way morning light filters (透过) through leaves, or the soft smile between a friend’s lips. This heightened awareness makes you appreciate the small, beautiful things in life that you might usually glance over without a second thought.
Another significant benefit is that photography serves as a powerful medium for self-expression. You can convey your feelings and opinions through the composition (作品), lighting, and subjects of your photos. For example, you can take dark photos with soft focus when you’re feeling sad or reflective, or bright shots with vivid colors when you’re happy and energetic. Many teenagers also share their photographic works on social media platforms, connecting with like-minded peers and making new friends who share the same passion.
So why not pick up your phone, adjust the camera settings slightly, and start taking photos You’ll be surprised at how many wonderful moments and hidden beauties you can record!

【原文】 Hello, I’m Tom. I am going to talk about how I became a professional racing car driver. At the beginning, my wife wasn’t happy about my choice. And she said that being a racing car driver was too dangerous. She eventually changed her mind when she could see how firm I was. Then I started my training. First, I attended a lesson which lasted about fourteen weeks. The requirements for the lesson surprised me. I had always imagined that you needed to be an expert driver before the lesson. Yet, some trainees had very little experience on car driving. Racing car experience wasn’t the most important requirement, as the training school gave training on this depending on the level of your experience. Being physically fit was necessary for the course. After completing this lesson, I was required to hire a private coach. This took eighteen months to complete. Now I’m able to be a professional driver.

67. Just then, Mom opened the door and asked them in. Mom said, “It is cruel for the cat to remain caught in the rain all night, so I agree to let her in.” Then Mom told Anna that the cat was an excellent cat and it was lucky for her if she owned one. But such a loyal creature was a treasure of her former owner. The owner must be very disappointed and anxious to have lost her. Therefore, she suggested that Anna should find the owner as soon as possible. And Anna agreed.
The following week, Anna was busy looking for the cat’s owner. She put up notices everywhere. A few days later, a man called Thomas came to Anna’s house. “Come. Molly !” Thomas shouted joyfully as soon as he saw his cat. He cried, bending down to try to get her attention. Molly responded with an approving bark and approached Thomas, licking his hand. Thomas and some of his friends had been looking for Molly for weeks, but she was nowhere to be found. Thomas realized that he may have lost her forever until he saw the notices. Thomas thanked Anna for having taken good care of Molly for days.
