Friends can help each other by realizing that they are not alone in their feelings. Talking to parents is important, too. Parents can share their own ways of dealing with bad moods (心情). Teachers are also there to talk with you and make you feel better.

Whether it’s putting your elbows on the table or talking with a mouth full of food, everyone has to watch their manners at some time. Manners also mean different things in different countries. Eating food loudly is considered rude in some countries, but in others it’s a sign that people are enjoying their meal. What do you think Are manners important
Many old people think so. They say kind words and actions are good to everyone. When someone has good manners, it shows they care about other people’s feelings and want them to be comfortable. Manners also help keep everyone healthy, which is why people should cover their mouths when they cough and keep dirty feet off seats.
▲ They hold the idea that manners make people act in a way that doesn’t mean how they really feel. If someone says “thank you” or “sorry” when they don’t mean it, they’re not being polite. Can you imagine what it would be like if everyone could simply talk whenever they want during class Instead of a peaceful learning environment, a classroom without rules would be chaotic!
When you learn to drive, you’ll realize how many rules you have to follow. The rules for driving share a common purpose (目的) with many rules you must follow in your daily life to keep you safe. As an ancient Chinese saying goes, “ ▲ ” If you make a list of the rules you follow each day, you will quickly realize how many of them can keep you safe and make your life more enjoyable as a result.
Although sometimes you feel like a rule is unfair, don’t break it. Instead, decide what you can do to change the rule. Working within the rules to change the rules is what you need to do.

Crosstalk, or xiangsheng, is one of China’s most popular performing arts. People of all ages love it — kids, grandparents, and everyone in between find it super fun. Even many young students enjoy it after class, laughing along with performers on stage.
No one knows exactly when crosstalk started. Some say the Ming Dynasty, but most think it became a real art during the Qing Dynasty when cities were full of energy. At first, one person did dankou (solo acts), telling silly stories or jokes. Later, when three or more joined, it was qunkou (group acts). But today, the most common is duikou (two-person acts). In duikou, there’s a “funny leader” (dougen) who makes most jokes, and a “helper” (penggen) who laughs, asks silly questions, or makes the jokes even funnier. They chat about daily life or silly things, making the audience laugh nonstop.
Crosstalk has four key skills: shuo (telling stories/jokes), xue (copying sounds — like how cats meow or grandpas cough), dou (making people laugh with silly words/faces), and chang (singing short folk tunes). These are taught by older actors to new students, learning by doing.
In recent years, online videos have made crosstalk even more popular. In 2008, China named it a “national intangible heritage” to help keep this funny art alive for more people.
So next time you watch, remember: every laugh comes from lots of practice and happy sharing!

31.C 32.B 33.A 34.D 35.C
根据第一段中“Whether it’s putting your elbows on the table or talking with a mouth full of food, everyone has to watch their manners at some time.”
通读第三段,本段首先通过“Many old people think so.” 因此,本段的主旨是“Good manners are very important.(良好的礼仪非常重要)”。故选B。
根据第四段“They hold the idea that manners make people act in a way that doesn’t mean how they really feel. If someone says ‘thank you’ or ‘sorry’ when they don’t mean it, they’re not being polite...As long as people are kind to others, they should be allowed to act how they like.” 故选A。
根据第二段中“Eating food loudly is considered rude in some countries, but in others it’s a sign that people are enjoying their meal.”

I spent weeks preparing my speech and practicing my pronunciation and gestures every day. When the day of the contest came, I was really nervous. But as I started speaking, I gradually became more confident. You couldn’t imagine how excited and proud I was when I heard that I won the first prize.
