B
My
color
television
has
given
me
nothing
but
a
headache.
I
was
able
to
buy
it
a
little
over
a
year
ago
because
I
had
my
relatives
give
me
money
for
my
birthday
instead
of
a
lot
of
clothes
that
wouldn’t
fit.
I
let
a
salesclerk
fool
(欺骗)me
into
buying
a
discontinued
model.
I
realized
this
a
day
later,
when
I
saw
newspaper
advertisements
for
the
set
at
seventy-five
dollars
less
than
I
had
paid.
The
set
worked
so
beautifully
when
I
first
got
it
home
that
I
would
keep
it
on
until
stations
signed
off
for
the
night.
Fortunately,
I
didn’t
get
any
channels
showing
all-night
movies
or
I
would
never
have
gotten
to
bed.
Then
I
started
developing
a
problem
with
the
set
that
involved
static
(静电)
noise.
For
some
reason,
when
certain
shows
switched
into
a
commercial,
a
loud
noise
would
sound
for
a
few
seconds.
Gradually,
this
noise
began
to
appear
during
a
show,
and
to
get
rid
of
it,
I
had
to
change
to
another
channel
and
then
change
it
back.
Sometimes
this
technique
would
not
work,
and
I
had
to
pick
up
the
set
and
shake
it
to
remove
the
sound.
I
actually
began
to
build
up
my
arm
muscles(肌肉)
shaking
my
set.
When
neither
of
these
methods
removed
the
static
noise,
I
would
sit
helplessly
and
wait
for
the
noise
to
go
away.
At
last
I
ended
up
hitting
the
set
with
my
fist,
and
it
stopped
working
altogether.
My
trip
to
the
repair
shop
cost
me
$62,
and
the
set
is
working
well
now,
but
I
keep
expecting
more
trouble.
24.Why
did
the
author
say
he
was
fooled
into
buying
the
TV
set
A.
He
got
an
older
model
than
he
had
expected.
B.
He
couldn’t
return
it
when
it
was
broken.
C.
He
could
have
bought
it
at
a
lower
price.
D.
He
failed
to
find
any
movie
shows
on
it.
25.What
dose“signed
off”most
probably
mean
in
Paragraph
1
A.
ended
all
their
programs
B.
provided
fewer
channels
C.
changed
to
commercials
D.
showed
all-night
movies
26.
How
did
the
author
finally
get
his
TV
set
working
again
A.
By
shaking
and
hitting
it.
B.
By
turning
it
on
and
off.
C.
By
switching
channels.
D.
By
having
it
repaired.
27.
How
does
the
author
sound
when
telling
the
story

A.
Curious
B.
Anxious
C.
Cautious
D.
Humorous

Grandparents
Answer
a
Call
As
a
third-generation
native
of
Brownsville,
Texas,
Mildred
Garza
never
planned
to
move
away.
Even
when
her
daughter
and
son
asked
her
to
move
to
San
Antonio
to
help
with
their
children,
she
politely
refused.
Only
after
a
year
of
friendly
discussion
did
Ms.
Garza
finally
say
yes.
That
was
four
years
ago.
Today
all
three
generations
regard
the
move
as
a
success,
giving
them
a
closer
relationship
than
they
would
have
had
in
separate
cities.
No
statistics
show
the
number
of
grandparents
like
Garza
who
are
moving
closer
to
adult
children
and
grandchildren.
Yet
there
is
evidence
suggesting
that
the
trend
(趋势)is
growing.
Even
President
Obama’s
mother-in-law,
Marian
Robinson,
has
agreed
to
leave
Chicago
and
move
into
the
White
House
to
help
care
for
her
granddaughters.
According
to
a
study
by
grandparents.
com,
83
percent
of
the
people
said
Mrs.
Robinson’s
decision
will
influence
grandparents
in
the
American
family.
Two-thirds
believe
more
families
will
follow
the
example
of
Obama’s
family.
“In
the
1960s
we
were
all
a
little
wild
and
couldn’t
get
away
from
home
far
enough
or
fast
enough
to
prove
we
could
do
it
on
our
own,”
says
Christine
Crosby,
publisher
of
Grand
,
a
magazine
for
grandparents.
We
now
realize
how
important
family
is
and
how
important
it
is
to
be
near
them,
especially
when
you’re
raising
children.”
Moving
is
not
for
everyone.
Almost
every
grandparent
wants
to
be
with
his
or
her
grandchildren
and
is
willing
to
make
sacrifices(牺牲),
but
sometimes
it
is
wiser
to
say
no
and
visit
frequently
instead.
Having
your
grandchildren
far
away
is
hard,
especially
knowing
your
adult
child
is
struggling,
but
giving
up
the
life
you
know
may
be
harder.
28.
Why
was
Garza’s
move
a
success
A.
It
strengthened
her
family
ties.
B.
It
improved
her
living
conditions.
C.
It
enabled
her
to
make
more
friends.
D.
It
helped
her
know
more
new
places.
29.
What
was
the
reaction
of
the
public
to
Mrs.
Robinson’s
decision
A.17%
expressed
their
support
for
it.
B.
Few
people
thought
highly
of
it.
C.
83%
believed
it
had
a
bad
effect.
D.
Most
thought
it
was
a
trend.
30.
What
did
Crosby
say
about
people
in
the
1960s
A.
They
were
unsure
of
themselves.
B.
They
were
eager
to
raise
more
children.
C.
They
wanted
to
live
away
from
their
parents.
D.
They
had
little
respect
for
their
grandparents.
31.
What
does
the
author
suggest
the
grandparents
do
in
the
last
paragraph
A.
Make
decisions
in
the
best
interests
of
their
own.
B.
Ask
their
children
to
pay
more
visits
to
them.
C.
Sacrifice
for
their
struggling
children.
D.
Get
to
know
themselves
better.
D
If
Confucius(孔子)were
still
alive
today
and
could
celebrate
his
September
28
birthday
with
a
big
cake,
there
would
be
a
lot
of
candles.
He’d
need
a
fan
or
a
strong
wind
to
help
him
put
them
out.
While
many
people
in
China
will
remember
Confucius
on
his
special
day,
few
people
in
the
United
States
will
give
him
a
passing
thought.
It’s
nothing
personal.
Most
Americans
don’t
even
remember
the
birthdays
of
their
own
national
heroes.
But
this
doesn’t
mean
that
Americans
don’t
care
about
Confucius.
In
many
ways
he
has
become
a
bridge
that
foreigners
must
cross
if
they
want
to
reach
a
deeper
understanding
of
China.
In
the
past
two
decades,
the
Chinese
studies
programs
have
gained
huge
popularity
in
Western
universities.
More
recently,
the
Chinese
government
has
set
up
Confucius
Institutes
in
more
than
80
countries.
These
schools
teach
both
Chinese
language
and
culture.
The
main
courses
of
Chinese
culture
usually
included
Chinese
art,
history
and
philosophy(哲学).
Some
social
scientists
suggest
that
Westerners
should
take
advantages
of
the
ancient
Chinese
wisdom
to
make
up
for
the
drawbacks
of
Westerners
philosophy.
Students
in
the
United
States,
at
the
same
time,
are
racing
to
learn
Chinese.
So
they
will
be
ready
for
life
in
a
world
where
China
is
an
equal
power
with
the
United
States.
Businessmen
who
hope
to
make
money
in
China
are
reading
books
about
Confucius
to
understand
their
Chinese
customers.
So
the
old
thinker’s
ideas
are
still
alive
and
well.
Today
China
attracts
the
West
more
than
ever,
and
it
will
need
more
teachers
to
introduce
Confucius
and
Chinese
culture
to
the
West.
As
for
the
old
thinker,
he
will
not
soon
be
forgotten
by
people
in
the
West,
even
if
his
birthday
is.
32.

is

Confucius
B.

the
readers’
interest
in
the
subject
C.
show
great

for

D.

(共5小题;每小题2分,满分10分)
根据短文内容,从短文后的选项中选出能填入空白处的最佳选项。选项中有两项为多余选项。
As
you
grow
rapidly
through
your
teenage
years,
you
will
experience
a
lot
of
changes.
The
changes
may
seem
difficult.
36
Don’t
worry!
You
will
deal
successfully
with
them!
You
are
a
young
adult
now!
With
more
responsibility,
you
will
find
more
freedom
to
make
your
own
choices.
This
is
a
time
to
be
well
informed
about
making
choices.
In
this
way
you
can
make
healthy
balanced
decisions.
37
You
may
already
know
your
career
path
or
you
may
have
no
idea
at
all
what
you
want
to
do.
Both
situations
are
fine!
Work
hard
and
the
right
opportunity
will
present
itself
to
you.
Young
adulthood
means
greater
freedom
and
more
choices.
38
But
try
not
to
shut
your
family
out
of
your
life.
You
should
learn
to
think
of
others
even
though
you
are
old
enough
to
look
after
yourself.
It
is
also
perfectly
natural
at
this
time
for
you
to
spend
more
time
with
your
friends
than
your
family.
39
A
true
friend
will
stand
by
you
no
matter
what
happens.
This
period
is
a
part
of
the
life
cycle.
There
are
some
people
who
will
be
with
you
throughout
life’s
journey.
There
will
be
some
people
with
whom
you
part
and
go
separate
ways.
Leaving
school
can
be
hard.

see
all
of
your
classmates
again.
You
are
a
young
adult.
It
is
your
life.
No
one
can
live
it
for
you.

So
making
the
right
choices
will
be
important
to
you.
Life
is
for
living.
Enjoy
your
life
wisely!

Choose
your

They
will
help
shape
the
future.

want
to
be
independent.

You
may
appreciate
what
you
have
in
your
own
life.

choices
that
you
make
from
now

will
be
your
choices.

been
with
you
since
you

第一节
完形填空
(共20小题;每小题1.5分,满分30分)
阅读下面短文,从短文后各题所给的四个选项(A、B、C、D)中,选出可以填入空白处的最佳选项,并在答题卡上将该项涂黑。
When
I
was
13
my
only
purpose
was
to
become
the
star
on
our
football
team.
That
meant
41
Miller
King,
who
was
the
best
42
I
have
been
admiring
at
our
school.
Football
season
started
in
September
and
all
summer
long
I
worked
out.
I
carried
my
football
everywhere
for
43
.
Just
before
September,
Miller
was
struck
by
a
car
and
lost
his
right
arm.
I
went
to
see
him
after
he
came
back
from
44
.
He
looked
very
45
,
but
he
didn’t
cry.
That
season,
I
46
all
of
Miller’s
records
while
he
47
the
home
games
from
the
bench.
We
went
10-1
and
I
was
named
most
valuable
player,
48
I
often
had
crazy
dreams
in
which
I
was
to
blame
for
Miller’s
49
.
One
afternoon,
I
was
crossing
the
field
to
go
home
and
saw
Miller
50
going
over
a
fence—which
wasn’t
51
to
climb
if
you
had
both
arms.
I’m
sure
I
was
the
last
person
in
the
world
he
wanted
to
accept
52
from.
But
even
that
challenge
he
accepted.
I
53
him
move
slowly
over
the
fence.
When
we
were
finally
54
on
the
other
side,
he
said
to
me,
“You
know,
I
didn’t
tell
you
this
during
the
season,
but
you
did
55
.Thank
you
for
filling
in
for
56
.”
His
words
freed
me
from
my
bad
57
.
I
thought
to
myself,
how
even
without
an
arm
he
was
more
of
a
leader.
Damaged
but
not
defeated,
he
was
58
ahead
of
me.
I
was
right
to
have
59
him.
From
that
day
on,I
grew
60
and
a
little
more
real.

第二节
语法填空(共10小题,每题1.5分,
满分
15分)
阅读下面材料,在空白处填入适当的内容(只填一个单词)或括号内单词的正确形式(不多于三个单词)。
To
change
your
habits
successfully,
you
should
think
about
changing
your
inner
beliefs
about
your
habits.
For
example,
your
old
belief
was:
“I
love
cigarette
because
it
61
(make)
me
feel
good
and
62
(relax).
I
need
cigarette
to
be
happy
and
eased.”If
you
keep
this
belief,
you
won’t
be
able
to
prevent
yourself
63
smoking
for
very
long.
64
,
you
should
hold
this
new
belief:
“I
love
yoga
because
it
can
make
me
strong
and
energetic
while
cigarette
is
poisonous
and
destroys
my
body.”
You
should
analyze
your
beliefs
and
make
sure
they
won’t
stop
you
from
changing
your
habits.
65
same
is
when
you
try
to
form
positive
habits.
If
you
want
to
start
eating
healthy
food,
here
66
(be)
some
positive
beliefs
you
should
start
thinking
about:
“Healthy
food
is
very
good
67
my
health.
It
gives
me
a
lot
of
energy
and
I
feel
very
good.”
Everybody
can
change.
All
it
takes
is
courage
and
commitment.
Decide
right
now
!
To
improve
your
life
by
68
(change)
your
habits.
Take
action
right
now!
Don’t
be
afraid.
Yes,
you
will
69
(possible)
make
mistakes
along
the
way.
But
never
forget
that
success
is
guaranteed
for
you
if
you
have
positive
habits
in
your
life.
If
you
continue,
success
will
be
70
(you).
