根据Hereford,Herefordshire部分的“The Hereford Cathedral is the most impressive building in town...One of the four original copies of the Magna Carta is displayed there.”
根据Shrewsbury,Shropshire部分的“The River Severn has a significant turn through town, almost making an island of Shrewsbury Town Center.”
根据Mevagissey,Cornwall部分的“Don’t leave the harbor without a traditional Cornish pie.It’s delicious.” 故选 A项。
B
根据第二段中的“‘Here’ is room 386,where each year,about 500 LPCH patients also become students.” 故选A项。
第三段中Ho提到“I’m a coach,an adviser,and a comforter,and that’s what it means to be a hospital teacher.”,表明她作为一名医院学校的教师,在工作中同时扮演教练、顾问和安慰者等多重角色。
第四段中提到“Some teachers don’t give the kids any assignments;they express sympathy instead.”,部分老师不布置作业,只表达同情,Ho 认为这对孩子不利。
【思路分析】此题的关键是理解disservice这个派生词以及下文“They think their teachers don’t care about their schoolwork.”
根据最后一段中Good 的话“School can keep those dreams alive by giving kids a way to learn and grow.”
根据第一段中的“...she didn’t have high hopes for it.But the opposite happened:She was flooded,shipping out 1,200 orders in June of 2020 alone.”
根据第三段中的“Students who are around plants perform better academically...This productivity also translates into the workplace...a 30% decrease in sick leave” 可知,Knuth 的研究表明植物能提升学生的学习表现和成年人的工作效率。
根据第四段中的“Doctors practice medicine...you should allow yourself the practice it takes to sustain a plant.”
根据第一段中的“growing up in South Africa, where the phrase ‘there are children starving in Africa’ was more of an uncomfortable reminder of fact”可知,作者童年时期长大于南非,那儿存在食物短缺问题,“非洲有孩子在挨饿” 是“事实”。
根据第三段中的“Each dish was tailor-made to raise awareness regarding food waste.”
根据最后一段中的“it was designed from the start as a short-lived experiment;Blue Hill has since returned to its regular menu”可知,wastED是计划中的短期实验,目前已结束并恢复常规菜单。故选A项。

In a class discussion,I was invited to explain the meaning of my name.“Qiuyu means ‘autumn rain’ in Chinese and carries a special charm in Chinese culture,” I began, with my voice trembling.“Autumn is when crops ripen, while rain brings life and peace.Together,Qiuyu symbolizes a gentle and refreshing presence after the heat of summer. My parents chose this name in the expectation that I’d bring calm and renewal to people’s lives.”As I spoke, the professor sounded out “Qiuyu” gently, and the class echoed softly. This time no giggles broke the silence—just nods admiring with curiosity and respect.I realized that correcting pronunciation wasn’t the point;sharing the story behind my name was what truly bridged cultures.
Many of my classmates got interested and came up to me after class.“Can you tell me how to write ‘Qiuyu’ in Chinese ” asked Jack, clutching a notebook.Other students were also looking at me curiously. While teaching them to write the characters,I was asked about Chinese culture and the pronunciation of other Chinese characters they know. Then one student shared what he knew about Chinese. We spent nearly an hour exchanging stories about Chinese names and traditions. From that day on,“Qiuyu” floated freely in our conversation,no longer a barrier but a bridge, connecting China and Ireland.Whenever someone mispronounced it,I would smile and say,“Let me tell you its meaning.”

M:Good evening.Tonight,I’ll continue to share how we can use art to spread the word about the changing climate. In our day-to-day lives, climate change can be hard to see.But some places will feel the changes sooner than othersThe city I live in is very flat and close to the waterline. And rising sea levels are already creating floods. So I decided to do something to make it impossible to ignore.I started an art project called Underwater Homeowners Association, and painted numbers onto thousands of large signsEach number showed how high someone’s house was above sea level.A “one” would mean that if the sea level rose one foot, the building would flood.I gave the signs to homeowners who put them in their yards.Kids painted more signs and put them near their schools and along busy roadsThe project has already had a real-world effect. The people who put the signs in their yards created a real homeowners association to address climate change in their communities.

根据图表信息TRAINS—Electricity部分中“Some trains are already electrified through rails or wires; others can be made electric in pretty simple ways.(一些列车已经通过轨道或电线实现了电气化;其他火车可以通过非常简单的方式实现电动化)”可知,火车实现绿色化很容易。再结合PLANES—Synthetic hydrocarbons部分中的“The hardest sector...”,TRUCKS—Hydrogen fuel cells部分中的“but making green hydrogen is expensive”以及SHIPS—Liquid ammonia部分中的“but it is hard to...”
根据最后一段中“‘We need to speed up the development of green energy, and it will all get used,’ says Wipke.(我们需要加速绿色能源的开发,而且这些能源都会被利用起来)”可知,Wipke建议加大对可再生能源的投入,即加大对绿色能源的投入。

根据文章第一段中的“More than once,I found myself wondering just how my students, who’d created these people, knew their subjects so well.(不止一次,我暗自琢磨,塑造了这些人物的学生,究竟是如何如此深谙他们笔下的角色的)”可知,这里提到的牛仔、严厉的父亲和现代版的朱丽叶都是学生在写作中创造出来的人物。
根据文章第二段中的“Then I realized that the problem was the question itself. They could have written pages on the necessity of computers, but writing,in and of itself, simply didn’t strike them as important.(随后我意识到问题出在题目本身。
根据文章第三段中画线词下文“The students took on diverse topics and turned in stories,10 to 20 pages each, with characters that broadened my view and touched my heart.(学生们选取了多样的主题,交上来的故事每篇都有10到20页长,其中的人物拓宽了我的视野,也触动了我的心)”可知,此处指学生们写出的内容,与之前的表现形成强烈对比。
A项“Teaching is learning (教学相长).”
根据文章第一段中的“Many parents say there’s too much traffic on the roads for their children to walk safely to school,so they pack them into the car instead.(许多家长说,路上的交通太拥挤,他们的孩子无法安全步行上学,所以他们用车接送孩子上学)”可知,作者指出的现象是人们步行减少、开车增多。
根据文章第三段中的“led a campaign to stop the destruction of her local park...Jane Jacobs called on her mayor to champion ‘New York as a decent place to live, and not just rush through.’(领导了一场阻止当地公园被毁的运动。
根据文章第四段中的“Although these campaigns were widespread, the reality is that the majority of the western cities were completely redesigned around the needs of the motor car.The number of cars on roads has been increasing rapidly.(尽管这些运动很普遍,但现实是大多数西方城市完全围绕汽车需求重新设计。
根据第一段中的“they have settled in the deep sea and on the Himalayas, stuck inside volcanic rocks, filled the stomachs of seabirds and even fallen in fresh Antarctic snow. They are even appearing inside humans.(它们沉积在深海和喜马拉雅山,嵌入火山岩中,填满海鸟的胃部,甚至落在南极的新雪上。
根据第三段中的“Crucially, this process relies on the water containing enough calcium carbonate (碳酸钙) to trap the plastics.(至关重要的是,这一过程依赖于含有足够碳酸钙的水来捕捉塑料)”并结合下文的研究数据可知,决定在水中捕捉微塑料的有效性的是水的硬度。
根据第四段中的“Even bottled water,scientists found earlier this year,contains 10 to 1,000 times more microplastics than originally thought.(今年早些时候,科学家们发现,即使是瓶装水,其微塑料含量也比原先想象的高出10到1000倍。)”

E项“Not only does this cafe serve up drinks,it also serves up smiles.(这家咖啡馆不仅提供饮品,还提供微笑。)”
根据上文“She goes back and forth between machines to make the drinks.(她在机器之间来回制作饮品。)”及下文“As the customer grabs the drink from her hand, she smiles and says,...(当顾客从她手中接过饮品时,她微笑着说:……)” D项“After finishing an order, she calls out the name on the cup.(完成订单后,她会喊出杯子上的名字。)”中的“finishing an order”衔接“make the drinks”,“calls out the name”引出顾客接饮品的场景,形成“制作—叫号—交付”的完整流程。
根据上文“Murphy gets up at a quarter to five and drives thirty minutes every day to get to work on time.(墨菲每天四点四十五起床,开车三十分钟准时上班。)” C项“Sometimes she arrives early to serve the students early.(有时她会提前到达,提前为学生服务。)”中的“arrives early”补充了“准时上班”之外的主动性,“serve the students early”呼应“like to make coffee for the students”,展现其敬业精神。
根据上文“Joanna Wright,a senior political science major, loves coffee and goes to the cafe at least six days a week.(乔安娜·赖特是政治学专业的大四学生,她热爱咖啡,每周至少去这家咖啡馆六天。)” F项“Going to the cafe starts her day off good and gets her ready for class.(去咖啡馆让她一天有个好的开始,并为上课做好准备。)”中的“starts her day off good”解释了“每周去六天”的原因,且“cheerful mood”与墨菲的微笑服务形成因果关系。
根据下文“She has every intention of staying and continuing doing what she loves.(她完全打算留下来,继续做自己喜欢的事。)” G项“She has served here for 17 years and can’t imagine working anywhere else.(她已经在这里服务了17年,无法想象在其他地方工作。)”中的“17 years”凸显服务年限长,“can’t imagine working anywhere else”强调对咖啡馆的情感联结,与“staying”形成呼应。

41.C 根据空前的“I had just sold our house”可知,作者一家需要把23年来堆满的家给搬空(emptying out)。
42.D 根据空后的“we were moving to in town”可知,作者和丈夫已经决定好把那些重要的物品带去他们要搬去的镇上的公寓(apartment)。
46.B 根据第三段第一句“I took a picture of the vase and posted it online”可知,此处表示其中一个想要更多的照片(photos),与picture相呼应。
47.A 根据第二段第二句中的“we were moving to in town”可知,此处表示作者搬家(move)的日子近了。
the balance...,the beauty...和the energy flow...

Dear Jenny,
I really like the idea of adding a new column to our English newspaper. As for adding “Fun at my school” or “Guess who I am”,I prefer the former. The reasons for my choice are as follows.
First and foremost, the students, who have a busy schedule and feel stressed every day, will enjoy the column“Fun at my school”,which can provide them with a moment of delight and relaxation.Furthermore, the students can be offered a window to know more about our school and the interesting side of our study life. What comes next is that “Fun at my school” will help the students deepen their love for our school and study life.
I would appreciate it if my idea could be taken into account and adopted.
Yours,
Li Hua

I realized it was me who was at fault. What I ignored was my brother’s feelings.Actually,Toby was to him what a child was to a parent.Feeling ashamed,I told my wife how I regretted refusing my brother’s dog to enter my house.Hearing my words, she nodded, saying that it was time to make up for my fault.I advised calling my brother and admitted I was wrong. However,my wife thought it was better to bring some tasty biscuits made by herself to visit my brother and his dog.I agreed.
With the biscuits my wife had made,I arrived at my brother’s door.Seeing my arrival,he looked greatly surprised.I apologized to him, saying that I shouldn’t have treated him and his dog so badly. With tears blurring his eyes,he forgave me and then chatted with me about Toby, who helped him feel relaxed and healthier.Without the dog,my brother wouldn’t live so happily.I expressed my wishes for him and Toby to visit my house again and my brother accepted my invitation. It was that experience that made me realize that admitting one’s fault and forgiving others play an indispensable part in our daily life.

2.A 根据“everyone wondered how...”
3.B 根据空后句子“It’s possible to open that lock with another key”可知,大家想知道这样的事情怎么会发生在一间锁着的(locked)实验室里。
4.C 根据第四段第一句中的“I found myself accused of stealing the missing parts”可知,作者演示了(demonstrated)如何开锁。
5.B 根据下文中的“pushing me to the edge of fear and tears”可知,怀疑的神色笼罩在(clouded)他的眼中,即作者的话没有消除校长对他的怀疑。
6.A 根据空后的“pushing me to the edge of fear and tears”可知,校长反复的询问(questioning)越来越严厉。
7.D 根据“In a desperate attempt to escape the mounting pressure”可知,作者错误地(falsely)承认了。
9.B 根据“I confessed my misguided longing for recognition”可知,作者泪流满面地(Tearfully)承认了自己的错误。

根据句子结构可知,whether to get up与stay in bed slightly相比较,此处表示“多睡一会儿”,应用比较级longer,表示“更久”。
根据前面的“By the time you brushed your teeth”可知,此处要用过去完成时,故填had made。
故填are achieved。
C
17.travelling/traveling 考查非谓语动词。 When we travel/are travelling/traveling...。
词组at one’s expense=at the expense of... 故填at。

根据第一段中“Throughout our junior year,my classmates and I have been worried about what colleges will see when they look at our whole life story reduced to a single 200-word essay.”
根据第三段中“Determined to follow my instincts on what I felt success means,I only chose two classes that I knew I would enjoy.”
根据第四段中“Nevertheless, this interview wasn’t a wasted opportunity.I talked to one of the senior applicants who answered questions in a way that reflected the faith she had in herself.”
因此,“Everyone is the maker of their own success.”
根据第二段“Although my daughter didn’t win,she did help expose one of the worst pieces of advice I have ever given.”
根据画线单词下文的“But now is the time to set the record straight, which starts with questioning the idea that all social comparisons are unhealthy.”
A选项“Comparing Ourselves with Others Can Become a Healthy Habit”准确概括了文章的主旨。
D
根据第三段中“People with more consistent stories tend to have a stronger sense of identity, and they feel their life has more meaning, direction and sense of purpose.Such people show greater overall life satisfaction, too.”
根据第五段中“She says that Western culture already pushes people to look for the silver lining behind every cloud.”
因此,A选项“How self-identity works”是正确的。
根据上文“Psychologist Robert Turner wrote about this in his book,The Life Cycle, mentioning a stage when kids learn self-direction and mastery.”
根据上文“This requires an internal locus of control,which implies self-control of your thoughts,feelings,and actions.”
39.A 推理句。
40.Seeing that many plastic bottles littered the parks and sidewalks. 根据第二段中的“He loved biking around his neighbourhood but grew upset seeing that many plastic bottles littered the parks and sidewalks.”
41.It helps people explore hidden places like small local parks and gardens in their own cities. 根据第五段中的“what if we could build a real-world app that helps people explore hidden places in their own cities ”可知,Sally和朋友创建的应用程序帮助人们探索自己城市里像小公园和花园这样隐藏的地方。
42.According to the passage, friends laughed a little, and even Mark’s parents thought he should just give up;so this part With encouragement from his friends and parents is false. 根据第三段中的“Friends laughed a little, and even Mark’s parents thought he should just give up.” 可知,Mark 并没有得到朋友和父母的鼓励,所以“With encouragement from his friends and parents” 这部分是错误的。
43.First,identify a problem or an idea. Then, experiment bravely, learn relevant skills if needed, and keep trying despite difficulties.

21.C 根据Who Can Borrow?部分中的“Current students, teachers (including retired)and staff can request items through ILL”可知,在校生、教职工(包括退休教师)可以通过ILL申请借书,故选C。
22.D 根据Length of Loans部分中的“Borrowed items are subject to recall by the lending library”可知,外借物品由外借图书馆收回。
然后讲父母这种喂养方式对作者的影响,即“It really messed up my relationship with food—something that took me years to overcome”(它真的破坏了我与食物的关系——我花了很多年才克服)。
25.C 根据第二段Charlotte Markey所说的话“There are so many things in parenting that are good to talk through, but I'm not convinced that food is one of them”可知,在养育子女时,很多事情是值得详细讨论的,但食物不在其中,故C项“向孩子解释吃零食的风险”是Charlotte Markey不主张的。
根据该段的“where parents provide a variety of mostly healthy foods to their kids at fixed times, and the kids themselves decide what and how much they want to consume”可知,根据“责任分工”理念,父母被建议在固定的时间为孩子提供各种各样的基本健康的食品,孩子们自己决定他们吃什么和吃多少,故选A。
27.C 根据最后一段的“I've been trying out these strategies and I've found that when I'm less restrictive, they do make better decisions”可知,作者一直在尝试这些策略,作者发现当自己对孩子的限制更少时,他们确实做出了更好的决定。 costly“代价高的,损失大的”;complex“复杂的,难懂的”; contradictory“相互矛盾的,对立的”。
28.B 根据画线词后的“it's based on an elegantly simple principle:to garden more like nature does”可知,“矩阵式”种植方法基于一个简单的原则,即更加像大自然一样地种植花木。 run out of“用完,耗尽”;put up with“容忍,忍受”;take advantage of“利用”。
29.D 根据第二段的“The concept was born when German city planners sought to plant large areas of parkland after World War Ⅱ in a reproducible way that would need minimal maintenance”可知,“矩阵式”种植方法的概念诞生于德国二战后,当时的城市规划者试图使用一种可复制的方式来开发大面积的公园用地,这种方法需要最少的维护。
根据第三段的“adding artistic flavors to the planting mixes while playing with color and form, including four season interest and serving the needs of wildlife. odd looking“外表怪异的,奇形怪状的”;well protected“受良好保护的”。
文章的第一段是本文的主旨段,“A novel design approach to gardening has been gaining in popularity worldwide”表明“矩阵式”种植方法在全世界越来越受欢迎,即这种方法是种植花木的未来;“it's based on an elegantly simple principle:to garden more like nature does”表明“矩阵式”种植方法的核心是倡导像大自然一样种植花木,即模仿自然设计园林。
“People are stereotyping(形成刻板印象)their gendered objects in very traditional ways”讲人们正在以非常传统的方式对他们的有性别特征的物品形成刻板印象,“Removing gender from the picture altogether seems like a simple way to fix this”讲将性别从人们的印象中完全清除似乎是解决这个问题的一种简单方法,“making new technologies genderless”是“Removing gender from the picture altogether”的一种方法,故让新技术去性别化是为了减少人们的刻板印象,A项正确。
33.B 根据第二段的“In her study,Martin asked participants to rate their attachment to male, female, and genderless versions of a digital voice assistant and a self driving car known as ‘Miuu.’”
34.D 根据题干中的“is it difficult to create genderless objects”可将答案定位在第四段。
且空后的it指代G项中的“what you're going to say”。
41.C 根据第一段段尾的“dinner parties”、第二段中的“a three course meal”“her hobby of buying food”“new recipes”和第三段中的“share my passion for food”可知,Ribeiro的健康嗜好是烹饪(cooking),故选 C。
根据第二段中的“a three course meal”“her hobby of buying food”“new recipes and holding dinner parties”可知Ribeiro决定充分利用自己的业余爱好(hobby)。故选A。
coworker“同事”;relative“家人,亲戚”。
pay“付款”;charge“(向……)
45.A 空后提到的“buying food”“new recipes”“holding dinner parties”都是Ribeiro从事(pursuing)自己烹饪爱好的表现,故选 A。
46.B 根据第三段中的“Sometimes she prepares traditional Brazilian dishes”“other times she __49__ dinner courses with her favorite beers”可知,Ribeiro会做不同的菜。 pass on“将…… 交给”;go over“仔细检查,复习”;take down“写下,记录”。
hire“雇用”;train“培训”。
in addition to“除……以外(还)”;in return for“作为对……的回报”;in line with“与……
50.A 结合第二段中的“new recipes”和空前的“The platform has enabled Ribeiro to realise her dream with a great deal of freedom”以及空后的“a restaurant where the service is __51__,the menu is known in advance”可知,Ribeiro会尝试新食谱,并且这个平台给予了她很大的发挥空间去实现自己的梦想,而餐馆的菜单是事先知道的。 A。as opposed to sth.
invaluable“极宝贵的”;impersonal“不考虑个人需要的,没有人情味的,冷淡的”;unsuitable“不合适的”; unprofessional“不专业的”。
52.A 根据上文的“the menu is known in advance”可知,餐馆的菜单是提前知晓的,所以餐馆的饭往往不会给顾客带来惊喜(surprise)。故选A。
53.D 结合本句中的But“但是”以及空后的“it can sometimes take days to __54__ a single event”可知,有时需要花费几天时间来组织一个活动,因此准备聚会对Ribeiro来说也是一个巨大的挑战(challenge),故选D。lesson“教训”;pleasure“乐事”;success“成功的事”。
55.B 根据句中的“not only”“for professional cooks, but also for those willing to discover new experiences”可知,这个平台也适用于那些乐意寻找新体验的人,并非只适合专业厨师。故选B。select“挑选”;reserve“留作,用于(特定场合)”;evaluate“评估”;request“要求”。
58.on/upon 此处考查固定搭配focus on/upon“集中注意力于……”,故填 on/upon。
59.and 分析句子结构可知,“that they have something unique to wear...contributing to landfill”是that引导的同位语从句。结合句意可知,“have something unique to wear”和“are not overstuffing their own wardrobes(衣柜)or contributing to landfill”是并列关系,故填and。
结合句意可知,“60.________ rather than purchase them outright”在此作目的状语,故用动词不定式to rent。
62.is “men have been renting good suits for decades”是对“The concept 62.________ certainly not new”这句话的解释说明。 故填is。

My views on filming short videos on campus
Nowadays,it's a common sight(常见的景象) to see students raising their smartphones to film something, whether on the way to the canteen, dormitory,or during after school activities. In my opinion,it's high time that our school should properly regulate(控制,管理)this behavior by implementing some guidelines.
There's no denying(无可否认) that capturing vibrant scenes or beautiful campus views is creative endeavor. These moments can serve as cherished memories as we grow older. However, many students currently lack self discipline to use their phones responsibly, often using them even during class. Therefore,I suggest that we first build an awareness of keeping our phones away in class.Additionally, school leaders can set up areas for filming, thereby better protecting othe students from distractions.
By doing the above things,we can have our fun and still keep a supportive learning environment. That's all.Thank you for your listening.
第二节
When Mr.and Mrs.Green got home,Kevin went to talk to them.He explained everything and the Greens listened carefully. No sooner had he finished the story than the Greens both expressed their surprise.Meanwhile, they gave Kevin credit(赞扬) for his bravery and courage. Then, they thoroughly checked the whole room to make sure if there was anything lost and lifted the board to search for the watch.Fortunately, everything was in order and to their astonishment, there was a watch lying silently under the floorboard, just as the man had described!
Kevin and Mr.Green took the watch they had found to the police station. They showed the watch to the officer and mentioned again what the man had said. The officer confirmed that it matched the man's description and expressed that they would do further investigation.Kevin felt a huge surge of relief .The officer thanked them for their help and promised to keep them updated. As they left the station,Kevin thought to himself,“This time I did the right thing after all.”Mr.Green looked at him with a smile and patted him on the shoulder ,saying,“You are truly a brave and warm hearted boy,Kevin.”2025年普通高等学校招生全国统一考试·全国一卷

58.and 文中“the carrier of communication”“the bridge of interaction between nations”“the bond of understanding among civilizations”这三个短语是并列关系,共同作is的表语,此处应用并列连词and 连接,故填and。
60.be treated 主语Every language是动作treat的承受者,故用被动语态;空前是should,故填be treated。
62.promotes 本句便用了not only...but also...
play a(n)...role in...“在……
64.the the rest of...

I hurried into the theater ,only to find there were even more bikers inside.Puzzled and frightened, I bought a ticket and walked in,following these big and tough looking bikers .With the lights dimming(变暗) in the theater,I felt my way to my seat cautiously, trying not to draw any attention from the bikers, some of whom had taken their seat and were chatting quietly .Sitting there ,my heart was pounding(怦怦地跳) like crazy(极快地) while I waited for the film to start, regretting coming here alone.
When the film began,I realized that the bikers were an animal rescue group.A wave of(一阵) relief washed over(突然袭来) me when I saw their appearance in the film and their efforts to rescue abandoned dogs in the documentary. As I watched,my initial fear turned into admiration and respect.Large and tough as they looked, they had a soft and kind heart, devoting their time and energy to helping animals in need. When the film came to an end,I couldn't help applauding(忍不住鼓掌) for their hard work and I was glad I'd braved(勇敢面对) my fear to come.
