Last Saturday my classmates and I participated in an apple-picking activity on a local farm.
Located at the foot of a hill 20 kilometers from the city, the farm is home to a variety of fruit trees, whose branches were laden with lovely fruits. We set out at 8:30am and arrived an hour later. The moment we got there, we began working in high spirits. Some picked apples while others carried apples with a basket, then packed them into boxes. Bathed in the sunshine, we were talking happily while working in the garden. After we completed our task, we came back by bus.

My Weekend

To raise our environmental awareness, the Students’ Union of our school organized a tree-planting activity on the morning of last Sunday.
At 8:30am forty volunteers and five teachers gathered at the school gate. Then a bus took us to the riverside. Upon our arrival, we set about working in groups. we first dug some holes, then put the young trees into the holes and covered their roots with soil. After that, we watered the trees with buckets. By 11:20am we had planted about 300 young trees in all. To record the activity, we had a photo taken in front of the trees with our flag. At 11:30am we headed back home happily by bus.
This activity is very rewarding because it helps us realize that we can make a difference to the environment. It is everyone’s responsibility to make our city greener and more beautiful.

To promote physical and mental health for students, our school organized a hiking last Sunday, which attracted about three hundred students to participate.
At 8:00am, all the students of Grade Three gathered on the playground. After the headmaster announced the beginning of the event. Each class walked out of our school gate in high spirits. Along the way, we sang songs from time to time to keep our spirit up. Though our school bus followed us, no one rode it because we wanted to challenge ourselves. When we finally arrived at the Forest Park, we were exhausted, but happy. Having had a picnic lunch, we walked around and took photos of the plants and trees we saw. At 4:00 pm, we walked back home.
This hiking benefits us in many ways. Not only does it enable us to take plenty of exercise and get close to nature, it also strengthens our willpower.

Getting to Know the Plants Around us
Last Saturday the Students’ Union of our school organized some students to visit the Botanical Garden with the theme of “Getting to Know the Plants Around Us”. (导语)
Guided by our biology teacher Miss Wang, we gathered at the gate of the Botanical Garden at 9:00 am. Once inside the garden, we were greeted with plants of different colors and shapes. After watching a short video about plants, we started our exciting exploration. Walking along the path, we saw various beautiful flowers, weeds and trees growing there. When we observed some rare plants, we stopped to have a closer look, taking photos of them, surfing the Internet for more information about them. We could see butterflies and bees flying happily among the plants, which was impressive. (活动内容和过程)
