Background information
In Britain, the floor of a building at the bottom lever is called the “ground floor” and the floor above it is called the “first floor”. In America, just like in China, the “first floor” is at the bottom level and the one above it is the “second floor”.

Background information
“Not bad!” here means “very good”. This way of making something seem less important or impressive than it actually is, is called understatement, and British people often use it. American use understatement too, but less than British people do.
