To learn to describe your relationship with your family members

Look at the words and expressions and choose the ones that can be applied to your relationship with your family members.

Features are “people stories”, and are typically longer than standard news stories. Features are written in an individual style, with extra detail and background.
Feature stories typically start with a “hook” that gets the interest of the reader. The style of the first paragraph also needs to set the tone of the whole piece. The middle part contains the “meat” of the story, with the ending being a summary, a powerful quote or even a surprise for the reader.

Growing up with a sibling(兄弟姐妹) can also teach important life skills such as cooperation, sharing, and conflict resolution. However, it can also come with challenges, such as sibling rivalry and the need for compromise. Overall, having a brother or sister is a unique and special relationship that can greatly enrich one's life.

One Chinese story about family love is “The Story of Mulan”. In ancient China, Mulan's father was conscripted into the army despite being old and frail. Worried about his well-being, Mulan decided to disguise herself as a man and took his place in the army.

结尾总结了全文,并引用主人公的话语,间接给出了作者的观点。
使用了一些具有概括性或者抽象意义的词汇,如choice, an unexpected end to the race, arguments over “stupid things”, positive force, disqualified等,这样显得语气比较正式,符合报纸专题报道的写作特点。

Alistair pulled his younger brother Jonny towards the finish line when he found Jonny about to fall onto the track. He then pushed Jonny over the line.

With just 700 metres to go in the final part of the 2016 World Triathlon Series in Mexico, Alistair Brownlee was in third place and his younger brother, Jonny, was in the lead. However, his brother was too exhausted (筋疲力尽的) and couldn’t make it to the finish line. Alistair, who would have a chance to win, chose to help his brother.
Opinions on whether Alistair should be highly praised for his actions are divided. As far as I am concerned, he should be highly praised because that’s what brothers should be like. At that moment, he was not an athlete aiming for a medal but just a brother.
From the story I’ve learnt that brotherly love means helping each other out of trouble. That’s all that matters.
