E.g. Panic seized her. (她突然惊慌失措。)
Despair choked her words. (她绝望得说不出话来。)

Ⅲ无灵主语在情感描写中的运用(二)
句型:身体部位/音容笑貌名词+有灵动词+其他
常见的动词:beat, tremble, turn, well up in sb(涌入), light up,brighten, linger(继续存留), crumple(弄皱), stream/roll down, flash
常用句型:
1.A wave/ripple/sense of 情感词 seized sb. 某人感到一阵......之情。
2.The tears of 情感词 welled up in one’s eyes. 某人流下......的泪水。
3. 情感A gave way to 情感B (to do sth). 情感A消失,情感B取而代之。
E.g. Her face brightened/lit up when I gave her the present.(我给她礼物时,她的脸上焕发出了光彩。)

常见的行为思想名词:sight ,thought ,glance 一瞥,look,idea ,feeling/sense ,walk 等等。
常见的动词:overwhelm 压倒;strike 打击侵袭;arouse 唤起;remind 想起;fill... with 充满...;drive(驱使) ; change 改变;bring 带来
E.g. A terrible thought suddenly struck me. (我突然想到一个糟糕的主意。)
The sight of the scene filled me with horror. (眼前的场景让我害怕。)
Ten minutes’ walk brought me to the destination. (我花了十分钟到目的地。)

句型:自然现象+有灵主语+其他
常见的自然现象名词:sun,sunshine,moon, moonlight, fog, snow, rain,earthquake
常见动词:blanket 覆盖; come;bring;prevent 妨碍,阻止;strike/hit 打击侵袭;threaten 威胁 fall即将来临;drive(驱使)
E.g. The thick fog blanketed the field. (浓雾笼罩着整个大地。)
An earthquake came like a thief in the night,without warning.(地震到来,犹如夜贼,不作预告。)

常用的动词有:witness(见证); see 看见;boast(有引以为荣的事物);find 发现;fall 降临进入
E.g. China has seen/witnessed great changes in the past 20 years.(在过去的二十年中,中国发生了巨大的变化。)
Dusk found the child crying in the street. (黄昏时分,孩子在街上哭泣。)
The town boasts(引以为傲) a beautiful lake. (镇上有个美丽的湖,人人以此自豪。)
Ⅶ无灵主语在写作中的运用
改写下列文段:
When I was young, I was shy. At 14 years old, it was my turn to give a presentation in class. Seeing so many classmates, I was fearful. Although having well prepared, I suddenly lost my courage. I forgot all the words absolutely. After class, my teacher encouraged me to be courageous and not to hide away. From then on, I became more confident instead of being shy, and I would remember the experience forever.
Shyness took over my life when I was young. At 14 years old, it was my turn to give a presentation in class. The sight of so many classmates filled me with fear. My courage deserted me and the words failed me suddenly despite full preparations. After class, my teacher encouraged me to be courageous and not to hide away. From then on, my shyness gave way to my courage, and the experience would take root in my mind forever.
