教学设计
一.指导思想与理论依据
《英语课程标准》对于读和听的语言技能目标为:学生能理解文章主旨和作者意图;能根据线索进行推理;能获取和处理主要信息;能识别重要信息并进行简单推断,包括语气和态度。对于读和听的语言知识目标为:学生能根据语音语调了解话语中隐含的意图和态度。对于情感态度的目标为:学生能在英语交流的过程中,能理解语言隐含的情感、态度和价值观。对于学习策略中的认知策略目标为:利用推理和归纳等逻辑手段分析和解决问题;在听和读的过程中,借助情景和上下文猜测词义或推测段落大意;
二.教学背景分析
教材分析
本课为剑桥英语学生用书3第一模块,第三单元的第4部分。第一模块以人与动物为主题,包括四个单元。第一单元关于英国年轻人的生活方式,第二单元关于人与人之间不同的沟通方式,第三单元关于友谊与人际关系的重要意义。第四单元关于学生工作及生活。整个话题的安排是从大到小,由英国年轻人的生活方式、沟通方式,和未来的工作生活,再联系到自己的生活方式和未来的职业规划。
本单元的话题为学生的未来职业选择,本单元的教学目标是让学生通过阅读了解英国年轻人的职业规划,听取他人意见完善职业规划,并能根据自己的兴趣爱好或能力,通过申请信的方式表达自己对未来职业的诉求。
本课为本单元的第三课时,教学材料为一篇对话文本,话题是关于一位年轻人的职业选择。说话人在语轮的层层推进中展开对职业规划的探讨。对话者用不同的情态动词表达自己劝谏的语气和态度,以达到阐明自己观点的作用。
教学方式
本节课主要使用ESA教学法。在激活阶段,让学生首先通过看图片猜主人公兴趣来吸引学生的注意力,然后通过阅读文本完成原文填空让学生熟悉文章大意。学习阶段,让学生定位情态动词和分析情态动词should,
ought
to和had
better
do的用法来学习它们的区别。让学生阅读文本后推断说话者在给出建议前的情感态度,之后听录音检测学生的猜测,并让学生给出合理的解释。活用阶段,学生分角色使用恰当的语气和情感朗读对话,进一步加深对文本的理解。在给出的情景中,恰当运用should,ought

过程与方法
1)
学生读文本,定位情态动词,讨论三个情态动词的区别,教师用问答法检验。2)
在每一个说话者用情态动词给建议的语轮处,让学生先阅读文本,然后对说话人的情感态度进行推断,用投票器进行结果统计,最后播放听力录音对学生的推测进行检验。
3)
给学生一个情景让学生角色扮演:“加入你是Claire的朋友,你会给她什么建议”。让学生运用恰当的情态动词给文本中的Claire一些职业规划建议。
情感态度与价值观
让学生了解在做自己的职业选择过程中听取他人的意见,平衡自己的兴趣和职业选择。
