To learn to know how the future continuous tense is used
To learn to use the future continuous tense in real context
Look at the sentences and answer the questions. Sentence (a) is from the reading passage.
a. … I will be signing an organ donation agreement this time tomorrow.
b. … I will sign an organ donation agreement this time tomorrow.
Which sentence signifies an activity in progress at a particular time in the future
a. …I will be signing an organ donation agreement this time tomorrow.
Why does the author choose to use sentence (a) instead of sentence (b)
Sentence (a) signifies that the author is going to sign an organ donation agreement at a particular time in the future.
Now look for more sentences with the future continuous tense in the reading passage.
I won’t be voting in the next general election.
I will be taking my driving test on the very day I turn 18.
…no doubt I will be getting a credit card at some point.
My librarian’s salary means that I’ll be living at home with my parents for a while longer.
I’ll be starting a new job next month, however, so maybe things will get easier.
Summarise its use in your own words.
We use the future continuous to refer to temporary actions and events that will be in progress at a particular time in the future.
We use will + be + v.-ing to form the future continuous.
1) 表示在将来某一时刻正在进行的动作。
e.g. He will be giving a speech this time tomorrow.
2) 表示按照计划或安排即将要发生的动作。
e.g. I will be having a talk with her next week.
3) 预料可能发生的动作或情况，说话人往往想表达“我料想”或“我估计”的含义。
e.g. I suppose you will be telling him about it.
4) 表示委婉的语气。
e.g. When will you be going to pick me up tomorrow

5) 表示原因或结果。
e.g. You can use that bike. I won’t be using it this afternoon.
Catch the thief or he will be running away.
6) 表示将来的情景，使语言更生动、形象，带有感彩。
e.g. I’ll be loving you forever.
7) 表示将来某个动作迟于所安排的另一个动作。
e.g. The film will end at two o’clock and I will be going to the library after that.
1) 将来进行时只是单纯地谈论未来的情况，一般不表示意愿，常与时间状语soon, tomorrow, this evening, by this time等连用。
一般将来时除了表示将来的时间概念外，还往往带有感彩，表示意愿。
e.g. Jane won’t go shopping tomorrow afternoon.
Jane不想明天下午去逛街。
Jane won’t be going shopping tomorrow afternoon.
Jane明天下午不会去逛街。
将来进行时和一般将来时
2) 将来进行时表示在将来某个时间点正在做的事情，而
一般将来时是对未来的预测，表示将要做的事情。
e.g. I’ll be watching a film tomorrow evening.
我明天晚上会在看电影。
I’ll watch a film tomorrow evening.
我明天晚上要看电影。
将来进行时表示正常过程中会发生的动作
现在进行时表示有计划的、将来肯定要进行的动作
相对而言，将来进行时意味着动作发生的偶然性要大一些。
e.g. I’ll be seeing Peter tomorrow.
明天我会见到Peter。
I’m seeing Peter tomorrow.
明天我要和Peter见面。
(表示说话者已经和Peter约好了，明天肯定会见面。)
将来进行时和现在进行时表将来

Then, in a couple of years after the examinations, I will be studying at my ideal university and I will choose my favorite major--design. After graduation, I will become a fashion designer and design clothes for people of all ages.
In the long term, I hope that in a few years from now, I will be a famous designer and the most famous models who will be wearing the dress I design will be walking on the T-Stage. Let's look forward to the coming of the day.
