二、教学目标
1. 语言能力:掌握艺术主题核心词汇(如 calligraphy、porcelain、style 等)和重点句型,能在口语表达与书面描述中准确运用。读懂西方绘画史及艺术展览相关语篇,能快速提取不同艺术时期的核心信息、梳理文本逻辑结构。能围绕艺术风格、作品赏析等话题,用英语清晰表达个人观点,初步具备艺术主题语篇的仿写能力。
2. 思维品质:分析不同艺术时期的风格特征及形成原因,培养逻辑推理与因果分析能力。对比中西方艺术形式的差异与共性,形成批判性思维,客观评价不同文化背景下的艺术价值。结合文本内容与生活体验,创造性地表达对 “艺术本质” 的理解,提升创新思维与辩证思考能力。

四、教学准备

五、教学过程
(一)导入
1. Starting from the famous quotes on the homepage, provide background information of an American thinker, writer and poet, Ralph Waldo Emerson.
2. Get to know art: Ask students to watch the video to have a preliminary understanding of the scope of "art".

The teacher provided six paintings. Ask students to look at the pictures and answer the questions.

2. Predict.
Ask students to read the title, the first para and the subtitles. Think about and discuss the following questions with partners.

Retell the passage.
Students are required to complete the blanks based on the given passage and retell the passage.

Ask students to write the correct period under the works of art. Use the information in the reading passage.
