The Power of a Healthy Breakfast
Do you sometimes leave home without breakfast to get more sleep or hurry to school Many students do, but eating a good morning meal is one of the smartest choices you can make for your day.
Think of your body like a car. After a long night’s sleep, your fuel tank (油箱) is empty. Breakfast is the fuel that gets your engine (发动机) started! It gives you the energy to focus in class, remember what you learn, and play sports with your friends. Without it, you might feel tired, hungry, and unable to focus.
So, what makes a healthy breakfast A great one has three simple parts:
①Energy Food: Like bread or biscuits. They give you long-lasting energy.
②Power Food: Like eggs, milk, or nuts (坚果). They help your muscles (肌肉) grow strong.
③Fresh Food: Like an apple, a banana, or some strawberries. They give your body important vitamins (维生素).
Making time for breakfast is a healthy habit. Just 10—15 minutes can make a big difference in your whole day. Do not skip (跳过) breakfast, start your morning right, your body and your brain will thank you!

In the animal world, you can find tails (尾巴) of all different kinds: long tails, short tails, thin tails, thick tails. Each animal uses its tail in a different way.
Some animals need their tails to move. Cheetahs, which are the fastest runners in the animal world, use their tails to turn quickly. Fish wouldn’t be able to swim if they didn’t have tails.
Cats and squirrels use their tails to balance. So, when they walk on a wall or jump onto a table, their tails help them not to fall. Horses and donkeys use their tails to brush away insects. Of course, if they had arms and hands like us, they would use those instead!
Some tails work like arms and hands. Spider monkeys, for example, can hang from trees and pick up food using their strong tails. Horses use their tails as a fly swatter (苍蝇拍) to brush away annoying insects.
Other animals use their tails when they are in danger. A rattlesnake’s tail makes a noise to frighten away other animals when they come too near, while a scorpion (蝎子) lifts its tail to be ready to hit with it.
But tails can send friendly messages, too. Think of dogs wagging their tails when they are excited. Parrots also move their tails to show they are happy.
So, if you had a tail, what would you use it for
9.How do cheetahs use their tails
A.To swim in the water. B.To brush away insects.

Hi Brad ,
Sorry to hear that you were worried about giving a public speech for the first time next week. I’m going to share a story and hope it will help you feel better.
Last spring, my mother and I were working together in the garden. When she saw some plants in small pots (花盆), she said, “We will dig them out and move them to bigger pots.”
“Won’t it hurt them I think it is safe for them to stay where they are.” I was worried.
My mother dug a plant out. “It won’t hurt them,” she said. “Life in the new pot will be difficult. To survive (存活), the roots (根) will grow bigger and stronger. Stronger roots will make a stronger plant.”
And now, the plants grow very well in their new, big pots.
Often, when change comes my way, I feel like those little plants—I feel like I have been dug up and turned upside down. I am going to worry. Won’t this change be hard for me Won’t it be good if I stay where I am Then I will remember my mother’s words: That’s how the roots grow deep and strong.
How did you like my story Please let me know when you write back.
