Step 1 Warm up and review
Activity 1. Sing a song——Long ago and now
Activity 2 .Review
将上一节课的作业作为操练活动,复习上一节课的内容。
Activity 3 Compare and say
对比六张图片,学生尝试自己描述。
教师呈现参考答案。
答案如下:
Many years ago, there was no library in the old school. Now, there is a library.
There was only one small building on a hill before. Now, there are many buildings.
There were no computers in my time. Now there are many computers.

Activity 4 Think and say
将四句话的过去式和一般现在时呈现在PPT表格中。
The simple past一般过去式 The simple present一般现在时
Many years ago, there was no library in the old school. Now, there is a library.
There was only one small building on a hill before. Now, there are many buildings.
There were no computers in my time. Now there are many computer.
学生思考:When do we use the simple past tense 什么时候使用一般过去式?
答案: Try to find the signal words.尝试找到信号词。
圈出信号词many years ago, before, in my time.
再呈现Tip:
Activity 5 Sort and fill
提供更多的Singal words, 让学生进行分类和填写。
再拼读学习35页的四个时间词组,插入音频,跟读模仿。
Activity 6 Compare and say
创设情境,Binbin的爸爸在校园中和Binbin交谈; 呈现两张校园图片,一张是过去的,一张是35页的图片,学生尝试自己对比,说一说不同。(仿造34页,把5 years ago 改成thirty years ago.
学习三个生词dining hall grass gym的发音,插入音频跟读模仿。
再出现两人的对话气泡框,共二个话轮,学生尝试看图片填写。
第一个话轮, ppt聚焦gym:
There was no ________ in my school _________.
Now there’s a new one in our school.
播放课文录音,学生跟读句子。
(5)第二个话轮:ppt聚焦dining hall
There was _________in my school __________.
Now____________________.
最后呈现答案。
Activity 7 Tick and fill
创设情境: Binbin爸爸说: There are many other changes in our school.
(2)呈现两张张完整的校园图,学生看图完成表格。
过去(参考下图简单绘制)和现在(如下图):
学生观察两张校园完整的图片,讨论校园过去和现在有哪些设施。
提供语言支架:There was no ____________________ in the school thirty years ago.
Now there’s_______________.
(4) 学生勾选完校园设施之后,谈一谈设施给我们带来的便利。
练习句型We couldn’t...和We could...

把中国过去和现在的图片放在时间轴上。
播放一段中国Then and now的视频。
Let’s talk about the changes in our city.激活学生的背景知识。
学生从Buildings Trasportation交通 Technology科技 Others其他等方面谈论中国的变化。

出现上一个时间轴100 years ago,动画效果:时间轴出现1405years ago.
对应的1405出现Tang dynasty.加一张图片辅助学生理解。
学生想象一下唐朝的样子,提供语言支架:

Activity 10 Find the mistakes
分步骤完成课本35页的第二题练习。
第一步:圈出与时代不符的建筑或者交通工具。
