阅读下面四篇语言材料,然后按文后要求做题。
A
For thousands of years, people have looked up into the night sky and wondered if humans could live on other planets. While Mars is often discussed, Venus, the Earth’s closest neighbor, is also an interesting planet to study.
Venus is often thought of as the Earth’s twin sister because the size and composition (构成) of the two planets are similar. But Venus has some of the most unusual conditions in our solar system (太阳系).
Venus is the hottest planet in the solar system because its thick air is full of CO . It holds heat like a blanket (毯子) and keeps the planet’s surface temperature at about 465°C.The air on the planet is so thick that if you try to move your arms quickly, you will feel resistance like swimming in water.
Similarly, it is hard to overlook the high air pressure on Venus, which is about 92 times stronger than that on Earth. To experience that pressure on Earth, you have to travel more than 914 metres down into the ocean.
Even time works differently on Venus: It takes Venus about 225 Earth days to travel around the sun, and 243 Earth days to rotate (旋转) on its axis (轴). The sun rises once every 117 Earth days, meaning that you can only enjoy about two sunrises every year. What’s more, the sun rises in the west and sets in the east!
So if humans try to live on Venus, we will face many challenges and it is nearly impossible with the technology we have now. This exactly reminds us that Earth remains the only known planet with conditions perfectly suitable for life. For our future, it’s necessary to protect it by making less pollution and saving resources (资源). Let’s take care of our beautiful blue planet—the only home for humanity together!

5 Ways to Train Your Brain for Better Sleep
The days are longer, full of sunshine and bright with the promise of enjoying a more relaxing spring and summer with your loved ones. But if you want to enjoy your daytime, it’s time to improve your sleep during the night-time. “Sleep problems endanger health and quality (质量) of life for up to 45% of the world’s population,” according to the World Sleep Society.
Sleep is one of the three keys to a healthier, longer life (the others are diet and exercise). 16 Here are the top five ways to improve your sleep and get some relaxation. Create a sleep nest
17 Science tells us that we sleep better in cooler temperatures of about 60 to 67 degrees Fahrenheit (15℃ to 20℃). Develop a routine
Set up a bedtime ritual by taking a warm bath or shower, reading a book or listening to soft music. You’re teaching your mind to relax. And stick to it. Go to bed and get up at the same time each day, even on weekends or your days off. 18 Cut the lights
Production of the sleep hormone melatonin (褪黑激素) begins at dark. Research has found that the body will slow or even stop its production when lights are on, so try to stay away from any light, even the blue glow from your charging smartphone.Refuse the wine
Don’t turn to wine to make you calm or help you sleep. 19 Your body needs to experience all three steps of sleep—light sleep, dream, and deep sleep—to fully repair itself. 20
Heavy and spicy foods may give you heartburn or other digestive problems. Thus influencing your ability to get and stay asleep.
If you try these tips and can’t seem to relax, or your sleep continues to worsen, be sure to reach out to your doctor or a mental health professional.
A.The body likes routine.
B.Avoid heavy or hot foods
C.Refuse coffee later in the day.
D.One of the first tasks is to set up your sleep environment.
E.Wine may help you fall asleep, but it holds you in the lighter sleep.
F.Many of the ways to increase the quality of your sleep are easy to follow.
G.Eat heavy and spicy foods

An unforgettable experience
One unforgettable experience in my life was when I took part in an English speech contest last year. It made a big difference to me.
I spent weeks preparing my speech and practicing my pronunciation and gestures every day. When the day of the contest came, I was really nervous. But as I started speaking, I gradually became more confident. You couldn’t imagine how excited and proud I was when I heard that I won the first prize.
From this experience, I learned that no matter how difficult the task is, as long as we work hard and don’t give up, we will achieve something.
