学校生活类话题是读后续写的热点话题， 尤其是演讲比赛、体能比赛
以及才艺表演等。2023年新课标卷的老师鼓励作者参加写作比赛；2022年
新高考卷的身患脑疾的David参加越野比赛。这类话题的写作旨在鼓励学生
挑战自我，全面发展，做最好的自己。

（一）比赛前
1. 紧张不安
Looking back on （回顾） the five months of practice， I seemed to have
confidence in myself （对自己有信心）. I found a new person inside me，
a much more daring and outgoing person who had been hidden all along.
However， when I was about to go onto the stage （即将登台）， my
heart was pounding hard， my throat tightened （喉咙发紧） and my
knees felt weak （膝盖发软）.
情节走向：回顾练习，对自己有信心→发现了勇敢、外向的自己→但上
台前仍十分紧张
2. 全力训练
Once determined， he spared no effort to practice （不遗余力地训
练）.He wanted to prove himself to the world. The time he spent striving
was longer than he ever imagined （默默努力的时光比想象中更长）.
He believed experience is more important than the medal （比金牌更重
要的是经历） and the desire to win is more important than winning （比
赢更重要的是渴望去赢）.
情节走向：他不遗余力地训练——付出比想象地更多——坚信经历和对
赢的渴望更重要
3. 妈妈的鼓励
As I stood there， feeling at a loss， a gentle touch on my shoulder
brought me back to reality （肩膀上一个轻轻的触摸把我带回现实）.It
was my mom，wearing a comforting smile （面带令人安慰的微笑）.
After having a brief idea of （大概了解） my story， she said in a firm
tone （用坚定的语气说），“You’ve worked so hard. You can make it
on your own （你可以独立完成）.”Memories of countless rehearsals
came flooding in （大量涌入）， drowning my fears （淹没了我的恐惧）.
情节走向：我不知所措时有人轻轻碰了我的肩膀→是面带微笑的妈妈→
她了解了情况→鼓励我独立完成→排练的记忆淹没了我的恐惧
（二）比赛中
1. 克服恐惧
Frozen with fear （由于恐惧而僵住）， Lily stood in front of the class，
with her hands holding her paper， shaking. Seeing it， Mr Johnson told a
funny joke， which made all laugh.Feeling more relaxed， Lily began
reading. She was so focused that she felt there was only her （她太专注
了，感觉就像只有她一个人）.
情节走向：Lily很恐惧，拿纸的手颤抖→Johnson 老师讲笑话使全班大笑
→Lily放松了许多→专注于朗读
2. 自如表现
Marco was overwhelmed with butterflies in his stomach （心中忐忑不
安）. But when he stepped onto the stage and began to speak， he felt
totally at home， totally at peace （完全轻松自在、心静如水）.He was
humorous and acted extremely naturally as he spoke （他讲话时很幽
默，表现得非常自然）.
情节走向：Marco 心中忐忑不安→开始演讲时他平静下来→他演讲时表现
得非常自然
3. 不幸落败
Having been up late studying， Hector looked exhausted but extremely
excited （看起来疲惫但非常兴奋）. So did all the other competitors. All
the eyes fixed on the stage （所有人的眼睛都注视着舞台），Hector felt
blood rushing onto his cheeks and his heart beating fast （感觉血液涌上
脸颊，心跳加快）. Unfortunately， the questions Mr Adler rewrote were
so tough that Hector was knocked out in Round Three （在第三轮被淘汰
出局）.
情节走向：Hector看起来疲惫但非常兴奋→其他参赛者也是如此→所有人

（三）比赛后
1. When I finished the speech，thunderous applause filled the hall （大厅里
响起雷鸣般的掌声）.I had done it！ Only then did I realise that bravery
and self-belief conquer fear and lead to success （勇敢和自信可以战胜
恐惧，带来成功）.
2. David stood up and took a bow （鞠了一躬）， smiling broadly as the
spotlight shone brightly on him （当聚光灯照在他身上时，他愉快地微
笑着）.He would always be an inspiration to me （激励着我）. Through
him， I learned having an unyielding spirit （有不屈不挠的精神）could
overcome challenges and David truly had that.
