1.推荐内容表述过少
有些学生在写作时，就“推荐内容”这一要点常常一句话带过，使主要要点变成了次要要点，如只用I recommend you get up and move around during the breaks.推荐站起来活动，而没有介绍这一运动项目及推荐理由。写作时主次不分，离题、跑题是写作的大忌，学生一定要紧扣要点，合理发挥。
2.推荐语言不够委婉
还有些学生在写作时很容易忽略推荐信的委婉表达。牢记向对方写推荐信时要注意措词的委婉和礼貌。
