第四讲 重顺承——开头结尾,无缝衔接原文
  记叙文的写作讲究“起承转合”,读后续写的两段在整篇文章架构中承担着“转”与“合”的功能,续写的开头和结尾要与原文做好顺承,写出来的文章才能“天衣无缝”,融洽度高。
如何写好第一段的段首、段尾和第二段的段首
  俗话说:“良好的开端是成功的一半 (Well begun is half done!)。”可见,写好续写部分段首开头是多么的重要。那么如何写出靓丽的开头呢?我们可以从写作涉及的内容和语法手段来具体设计故事的段首开端。
一、写作内容——两关注,解决“写什么”的问题
1.关注段首三点
段首三点指的是与段首句相关的三个点,即紧接两段段首句之后的两个点和第一段结尾的一个点。
点①:位于续写第一段段首,流畅衔接原文和续写第一段段首语;
点②:位于续写第一段段尾,流畅衔接续写第二段段首语;
点③:位于续写第二段段首,流畅衔接第二段段首语。
通过关注这三点可以保证整体故事的连贯性。第一点要限定情节走向,同时为下文的展开留出足够的写作空间;第二点要达成两段之间的衔接,过渡不能突兀;第三点不仅要衔接第二段段首语,还要考虑如何完美结束故事。在写作过程中,要培养衔接意识和整体意识。
2.关注故事背景与人物动作描写
在开头时,适度的环境描写可以渲染气氛、烘托人物,给人物的出场造势;同样,运用一连串的行为动词对人物动作加以描写,可以让人物活灵活现、动感十足,人物特征跃然纸上。所以,对背景和动作的细节描写也是常见的一类开头方式。
①We drove through several states and saw lots of great sights along the way. I looked out of the car window, winding rivers, lofty mountains, sunny beaches and deep valleys holding me entirely in their fascination. (通过“视觉+环境描写+拟人”的写作手法,成功地使读者有身临其境之感)
②(2024·1月浙江卷)Staring at the towering teaching building, Eva came up with a good idea, with a smile blooming across her face.(通过行为动作描绘出生动的场景,引人入胜)
  (2022·6月浙江卷)I needed to do something in my community (社区) in order to complete the community service hours required to graduate from high school.Some of my friends had signed up to spend time at a soup kitchen, so I did, too.It seemed like a good thing to do.
  I thought that we would just be passing out dinners to those in need, but I found out we would be doing everything from preparing to serving the dinner.We began preparing the food, from mixing salad dressing to separating frozen meat.Much still needed to be done before dinner was served, but already outside the building many homeless people were gathering.It wasn’t until a couple of hours later that we opened the doors and began serving dinner.
  As the line of people came toward me, I got a little scared.I’d come face to face with the homeless:How should I act?How would they treat me?Would they hate me for having more than they did?While some of the people looked very friendly, some of them looked so dangerous.I didn’t have too much time to worry about it.I was assigned (分配) to serve the salad with the lady next to me.She smiled at me and said if I needed help, she’d be right there, which I found quite comforting.
  I had never seen so many people wanting food.They were of all ages and nationalities.Most of them wore clothes that were torn and dirty.Some looked like they had totally given up on life, while others seemed to be making the best of the situation, smiling and joking.Some were better off than others, but they all needed a good meal and a warm place to eat.It saddened me to think of how many people there were who didn’t have a place to call home and that the only food they got came from a soup kitchen.

  As they came in my direction, I put on my brightest and happiest smile. Although I still felt a little scared of these dangerous people, I knew the burden on their shoulders — without a place called home, without a proper meal. So I truly hoped my smile could be some of the comfort. But hardly could I imagine that serving the salad could become so challenging and tough when facing a number of guests. Mixing the salad dressing and assigning one by one, I was almost like a cat on hot bricks. Fortunately, the helpful lady came to assist me, who took some loads off my shoulder. With her assistance, I finished my serving time smoothly.
  I was so happy that I had earned my service hours in this way. This experience made me realize that there are so many people in this world who need our help. It also made me realize that our small acts of kindness can make them feel warm and make a great difference to them. Reflecting on the whole experience throughout the evening with my friends, we found we enjoyed ourselves a lot by helping those in need. And I will never forget the way they looked at me when they were given food. I am anxious to urge the world to do everything possible to help those in need.
二、语法手段——三巧用,解决“怎样写”的问题
1.巧用形容词/副词(短语)
①(2022·新高考Ⅰ卷)David took the first step, slowly but firmly.(副词的使用把前面的动作took the first step描写得更加细致和生动)
②A few minutes later, the bear headed back to our camp. The bear roared at us, our frightened mouths wide open. (时间短语+动作描写,通过动静结合设置悬念)
③Immediately, an absolute darkness ruled the forest. (时间副词+环境描写,烘托了在森林里的紧张气氛)
④(2024·1月浙江卷)Breathless and exhausted, she realized that overcoming seemingly the toughest challenges just needed a smart strategy like her mind trick. (两个并列形容词作状语)
2.巧用分词(短语)
①(2024·新课标Ⅰ卷)Having waved goodbye to him, I sprinted towards the bus, leaving him behind with a promise to settle the fare upon my return. (强调了作者匆忙赶车的场景)

如何写好第二段的段尾
  在读后续写中,结尾发挥着非常重要的作用,精彩的结尾好似画龙点睛,让人回味无穷。常见的结尾方式有景物描写结尾、哲理性语言结尾、自然结尾等。我们应该根据文章的主题,借助丰富的句式来打造完美结尾。下面简要介绍几种常用的读后续写的结尾方法。
1.首尾照应法
结尾回到文章开头阐明的中心思想或主题句上,深化主题,起到画龙点睛的效果。但需要注意的是,不要照搬开头的句子,要变化句式或者用词来表达相同的主题。请看以下范例:
(1)开头:I had an interesting childhood. It was filled with surprises and amusements, all because of my mom — loving,sweet,yet absent-minded and forgetful.One strange family trip we took when I was eleven tells a lot about her.
结尾:Despite mom’s being absent-minded and forgetful, she is still a kind and nice mom.
(2)开头:It was summer, and my dad wanted to treat me to a vacation like never before.He decided to take me on a trip to the Wild West.
结尾:Never had I had such a thrilling yet dangerous vacation before.The special trip to the Wild West was deeply engraved in my mind.
(3)开头:A funny thing happened to Arthur when he was on the way to work one day.
结尾:What a funny day!Arthur couldn’t stop laughing whenever he looked back on this funny experience.
2.主旨升华法
在读后续写的最后,可以采用主旨升华法结尾,激发读者思考,让读者产生情感上的共鸣。通常我们可以通过表达人生感悟或生活哲理来达到结尾部分的主旨升华。
①(2024·新课标Ⅰ卷)It dawned on me that a moment of kindness could mean so much to another, and that a simple act could make the world so much better.
我突然意识到,那一刻的善意对另一个人来说意义重大,一个简单的举动可以让世界变得更美好。
②(2024·新课标Ⅰ卷)It is love that makes the world go round;just as a saying goes,“The fragrance always stays in the hand that gives the rose.”

3.情景交融法
有时候我们可以借助景物描写来烘托故事中人物的心情,增加故事的感染力。
①(2024·河北石家庄质检)With a shadow of a happy family cast on the window,I felt my little sister was the best gift I’d ever got.
一个幸福家庭的影子投射在窗户上,我觉得我的小妹妹是我得到的最好的礼物。
②No matter how cold the winter was, all that they could feel now was the surpassing warmth.
无论冬天多么寒冷,他们现在感受到的都是无与伦比的温暖。
③The wind murmured in the trees and the sunlight flooded in through the window, warming the whole room, as if freezing ice was melted.

4.对话式结尾
对话式结尾指文章以对话结束,有时伴有相应的动作,有时意味深长;曲虽终,但余音绕梁,留有空间让读者思考与感悟。

5.自然式结尾
自然式结尾是顺着文中所叙述之事的自然发展,以它的必然结果作为结尾。这样的结尾虽然简洁明了、朴实无华,但令人回味无穷,给读者留有思考的空间。

运用了这个心理技巧之后,她未来的生活翻开了新的一页,拥有了克服困难、实现目标的满足感。

结尾回到文章开头阐明的中心思想或主题句上,深化主题,起到画龙点睛的效果。但需要注意的是,不要照搬开头的句子,要变化句式或者用词来表达相同的主题。请看以下范例:

2.主旨升华法
在读后续写的最后,可以采用主旨升华法结尾,激发读者思考,让读者产生情感上的共鸣。通常我们可以通过表达人生感悟或生活哲理来达到结尾部分的主旨升华。

3.情景交融法
有时候我们可以借助景物描写来烘托故事中人物的心情,增加故事的感染力。
