【学情分析】
如何使用过去进行时及使用when或while引导的时间状语从句是本单元的重点内容。学生七年级下册就学过现在进行时,掌握了如何使用现在进行时来描述日常活动,而且掌握了一些日常活动的短语,有利于他们学习过去进行时。在本单元前面三个课时听说训练和语法总结归纳的基础上,学生已掌握了过去进行时的相关词汇和短语,能够询问和回答相关问题,复习巩固了过去进行时,为本课的学习做了铺垫。在此基础上发展读写技能,符合学生认知规律,便于学生接受。视频及相关资料能够激发学生的学习兴趣,深化情感目标,培养学生崇尚自由民主、热爱和平的意识。

教学效果
通过本节课的教学,我觉得比较好的有以下两点:
一、关注了学生的认知起点,温故知新。
在教学中让学生把学过的旧材料换用另一种新的方式进行语言操练活动,达到以新带旧,以旧促新的教学目的。通过视频、图片等热身活动组织教学,把学生的注意力和兴趣吸引到本课教学活动中。另外,利用思维导图总结事件要点利于学生理解记忆。
二、关注了学生的学习过程,把发现问题的权利教给学生,提高学生的综合能力,
运用任务型教学引导学生在活动中学习语言,并提高学生学习的主动性和积极性。通过思维导图,培养学生归纳总结能力。

本节课通过视频、图片及文字说明等多种手段激发了学生的学习兴趣,同时使学生对课文中的事件有更深刻的理解。另外借助多种多样的阅读训练使学生更深入地理解了短文内容,同时提升了学生的阅读能力、理解能力和分析能力。阅读过程中对past event要素的总结与归纳使学生对文本信息掌握更清晰明了,为下节课写作打下坚实的基础。
