高二选修七第五单元Travelling abroad阅读课教学设计
一、教学目标
1、知识目标:掌握有关记叙文的体裁,学习本单元的重点词汇和短语。
2、能力目标:发展学生听、说、读、写的基本技能,提高阅读技巧,培养综合语言运用的能力。
3、德育目标:通过本文的学习,激发学生对人生和命运的感悟,使学生形成积极的情感态度和健康的人生观。
4、确立教学目标的依据:根据新课标的要求,高中英语选修7旨在通过听、说、读、写四项基本语言技能的训练,综合提高学生的语言技能,鼓励他们锻炼思维、发挥想象力,以培养创新精神和实践能力。
二、教学重难点
1、训练skimming, scanning, careful reading 等阅读技能。
2、对文章深层次的理解及细节的欣赏,认识及分析主人公的人物特征及人物性格。
3、培养学生克服困难、迎接挑战的决心和勇气。
三、教具准备
课前发给学生的预习导学案, 授课课件(包括授课内容及相关图片,视频,音频等),学生的课堂记录纸(便于学生做课堂记录)
(依据:导学案的设计体现我校一直倡导的“先学后教,和谐高效”的教学理念;授课课件的设计图文并茂,起到辅助教学的作用;课堂记录纸便于学生课堂上整理记录自己的所思所学所感,便于今后复习巩固。)
四、具体教学步骤
(课前展示世界和中国的一些著名的风景名胜图片,并播放一首与旅游有关的英文歌曲“Traveling light”,做好课前的预热,活跃课堂气氛。)
Teaching aims:
1. Get a general idea about Xie Lei’s school life in London.
2. Know how to deal with the problems of studying in a foreign country.
3. Learn the benefits and difficulties of living in a foreign country.
(设计意图:按照新课改的要求,将教学目标放在正式授课前展示,便于学生明确当堂的学习任务。)
I.Warming-up: Do you like travelling? Imagine you are going to travel abroad,what should we think about before travelling abroad?(for example, making plans----)
(设计意图:热身部分让学生假设自己将要出国旅游,考虑一下自己要准备什么东西,采用小组讨论的形式,并将想到的写在课堂记录纸上,激发思维,集思广益,为下面的课文教学做好预热。)
II. Pre-reading: The world is getting smaller. We have more and more chance to study abroad.(enjoy pictures of some famous universities) Would you like to study further in these universities?
(设计意图:读前活动让学生观看几幅英国著名大学的图片,激发学生出国学习的兴趣,自然导入到阅读教学。)

(设计意图:对于第1段的处理,设计让学生小组间自由提问的方式。在小组讨论过程中,每组同学在课堂记录纸上写下自己的问题,准备时间过后,各小组可指定其它任一小组回答本组提出的问题,并由其他小组对回答做出评价,这一环节可以很好地落实合作学习的理念,培养学生语言输出的能力。)

VII. Act to use: Suppose you are a newspaper reporter. Please interview Xie Lei using the following words or phrases:
keep it up, get along, make progress, board, adjust to, It is the first time .... get used to, as far as one is concerned, feel at home, all the best, etc.

VIII. Learn to improve: What can we learn from Xie Lei?
(设计意图:这是整节课的升华主题环节,学生先两人讨论,再小组进行讨论,总结我们能从主人公—谢蕾身上学到什么,以达到培养学生坚强的意志,坚定克服困难、迎接挑战的决心的目的,落实本节课的情感教育目标。)

With the development of society, people are getting much richer than before. More and more parents plan to send their children to study abroad. What’s your opinion, are you For or Against it? And Why? (at least 100 words)
(说明:最后一个活动—课下作业,内容为针对现在很多家长把孩子送往国外学习的现象,让学生发表一下自己的观点,是支持还是反对?这样一篇与主题联系紧密的小作文,可以更好地巩固本节所学,并能培养学生动手的能力。同时为了更好落实素质教育的理念,减轻学生的课业负担,我将这一部分的要求修改为按个人实际情况在课堂记录纸上完成,可以先讨论,然后写下相关的单词,短语,句子等等,并要求明天上交,择优张贴表扬。)
五、板书设计
将黑板分为两部分,左边板书教学环节,右边板书生词和短语,辅助阅读教学,扫除障碍。
