a)A virus is a very small living thing that causes disease. HIV is a virus. It weakens a person’s immune system and eventually it damages the immune system so much that the body can no longer fight against disease. HIV damages the immune system so much that the body can no longer fight disease.The stage of the illness is called AIDS.
