As AI continues its extraordinary rise as a creative force, we’re entering an era of “aesthetic
(美学)overload,” where seemingly perfectly-composed images, poetic articles, and cinematic
storytelling have become available to anyone, instantly and at no cost. Say, a symphony in the exact
style of Beethoven or an essay in the voice of Hemingway can be generated in seconds. Does the
perfect AI art, however, carry the same value
23.What do these four urban gardens have in common
A.They create job opportunities for farmers.
B.They are beneficial to communities.
C.They are inspirational projects in New York.
D.They have educational and entertaining purposes.
The value of artworks, as it is, goes beyond what is shown in the museum or the concert hall.
We admire Vincent van Gogh not just for Starry Night but for the confusion, vision, and perseverance
that shaped it. We don’t just listen to Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony; We are impressed at the fact that it
was composed while he was deaf. These stories give their creation depth, reminding us that art is not
just about aesthetics or skill.
Perfection has never belonged to humanity. Across cultures, imperfection isn’t just accepted–it’
s embraced. The deep connection between imperfection and creativity in artworks is everywhere. The
latter has always made space for mistakes, rough edges, and raw emotion, like the quake in a
brushstroke, the crack in a voice -these aren’t things to be fixed, they’re what give art its soul and
make human-created art more valuable.
Lost in great artworks, like a heartbreaking song, a thrilling movie, or an impressive painting,
we travel the artists’ emotional journey, unbox one character’s bittersweet memories, or smile at the
unexpected twists the creator carefully lays out. In this light, AI-generated art is not just unnatural. So,
Jerry Saltz, an art critic, has a good question, “Calculated and deterministic, AI art is like a beautifully
wrapped box shining with techniques. But do you really expect anything when you open it ”
Throughout history, the most celebrated works of paintings, literature, and music are always
about expression, exploration, and engagement with the world. As AI art is detached from all these
grounds, maybe the value of human-created art migrates to the very thing that displays who we are.
As Glen Keane, a great Disney producer put it, “AI, or a machine, can’t understand the weight of a
character’s sigh,” Maybe, he is right.

Ma Jun, born in 1995 in Ningxia, is the youngest winner of the Junma Awards for Ethnic
Literature in the prose (散文)category for his first work, “Qing Bai Shijie”。 Despite being
wheelchair-bound and facing countless challenges, including a predicted life expectancy of 20, Ma
has overcome the difficulties and is now living well at 29.
“Qing Bai Shijie” is a five-part collection reflecting on Ma’s life, from childhood to ambitions.
The title symbolizes purity and innocence and fights the prejudice (偏见)Ma faced, such as being
labeled as receiving “God’s punishment”。 In 2016, Ma chose not to attend college to allow his
younger brother to continue his education, a decision that led to despair but was later changed by
reading Shi Tiesheng’s "Wo Yu Ditan", which inspired him to pursue writing.
Ma’s journey in writing began as a means to find meaning and joy in life. After three years of
devotion, he completed his book but faced the challenge of publishing without resources. However,
the “Stars of Literature by Chinese Ethnic Writers” project selected his work for publication in 2023, a
significant milestone.
The Junma Awards, one of China’s major literary prizes, recognized Ma’s talent, and his win
was a joyful surprise. Ma’s condition, Spinal Muscular Atrophy(SMA), was diagnosed at27, and with
treatment now affordable in China, he manages his disease through regular medical procedures.
Ma keeps a daily routine of exercise, reading, and writing, currently working on a novel. He
defines himself not by his struggles but as a faithful writer, using literature to connect with the world
and inspire hope. His social media profile reads, “Be a faithful writer”, a motto that summarizes his
commitment to his career and his life.

Sometimes books are my great inspiration. And my favorite book for digging yourself out of a
First, diverse ecosystems are more resilient. For example, rainforests with thousands of plant
species can recover from storms or fires better than monoculture forests (where only one species
grows). Bees, butterflies, and birds pollinate 75% of the world’s food crops, ensuring we have fruits,
vegetables, and nuts. If these pollinators disappear, our food supply will collapse. Similarly, predators
like wolves control deer populations, preventing overgrazing and protecting plant life.
Second, biodiversity provides medical breakthroughs. Many life-saving drugs come from nature:
aspirin from willow trees, cancer treatments from sea sponges, and antibiotics from soil bacteria. If
species go extinct, we lose potential cures. Scientists estimate that less than 1% of Earth’s species
have been studied for medicinal value—who knows what treatments we’re losing as species vanish
Sadly, biodiversity is declining faster than ever. Human activities like deforestation, overfishing,
and pollution have caused a “sixth mass extinction,” with up to 1 million species at risk. This isn’t just
a loss for nature; it’s a threat to human well-being.
Protecting biodiversity isn’t optional. We can support protected areas like national parks, reduce
our carbon footprint, and choose sustainable products (e.g., certified organic food). Every species, no
matter how small, plays a role in nature’s balance. As biologist E.O. Wilson said, “The one process
now going on that will take millions of years to correct is the loss of genetic and species diversity by
the destruction of natural habitats. This is the folly our descendants are least likely to forgive us.”

bustling track field. The air was filled with lively music and the excited cheers of students. Among the
participants was Leo, a determined but not particularly athletic boy who had signed up for the
challenging 1500-meter run. Though he wasn’t the fastest runner in his class, he had trained hard for
this moment and made a promise to his friends that he would give it his all.
As he stood at the starting line, Leo could feel his heart pounding like a drum. He took a deep
breath, trying to calm his nerves while focusing on the track ahead. The other runners looked
confident and ready, which made him even more anxious. When the starting gun finally fired, all the
competitors surged forward like arrows released from their bows.
For the first lap, Leo managed to maintain a steady pace in the middle of the group. He could
hear his classmates shouting encouragement from the stands, which gave him strength and motivation.
However, as he entered the second lap, he began to feel the strain in his muscles and the burning in his
lungs. The distance seemed to stretch endlessly before him.
Then, just as he was rounding a curve, the runner beside him stumbled and accidentally bumped
into him. Leo lost his balance completely and fell hard onto the rough track surface. A sharp pain
immediately shot through his knee and hands. He watched helplessly as the other runners quickly
passed him by, their figures growing smaller in the distance. For a moment, he just sat there, feeling
the physical pain mixed with deep disappointment. The finish line now seemed like an impossible
goal, and a tempting voice in his head suggested he should just quit and spare himself further
embarrassment.

Paragraph 1
However, when looking up, Leo saw his classmates standing and cheering for him. Their
voices cut throughhis despair, loud and warm: “Leo! Don’t give up!” He spotted his best
friends at the front of the stands, their fists clenched and faces filled withgenuine
encouragement, not pity. The promise he’d made to them—to give it his all—suddenly
hit him hard. He couldn’t let them down, nor could he let himself down. Gritting his teeth,
he grabbed the track for support and struggled to his feet, the pain in his knee and hands
sharp but not unbearable anymore.
Paragraph 2
Slowlybut steadily, Leo began to move forward again. Each step was a struggle; his knee
throbbed, and his scraped palms stung, but he kept his eyes locked on the finishline in
the distance. The other runners were alreadyfar ahead, but that didn’t matter. He was
running for himself, for his promise. The cheers from the stands swelled, and even some
strangers joined in shouting his name. When he finallycrossed the finishline, the whole
track field erupted in applause. Leo didn’t win the race, but he won something far more
precious—his own courage and the respect of everyone around him.
