1. Warm-up & Lead-in - Ask students: “Do you like spring What’s your favorite spring activity ” - Show a picture of winter jasmine and ask: “What flower is this When does it bloom ” 2. Pre-reading - Teach core words: solar term, Jingzhe, awaken, blossom, field trip - Explain: “Jingzhe is one of China’s 24 solar terms. It means ‘awakening of insects’.” - Drill the sentence pattern: “The temperature was ... and reached ...” 3. While-reading - Task 1: Read & Judge (Ex. 2) Students read the email and mark statements A–C as True (T) or False (F). Check answers as a class. - Task 2: Read & Fill (Ex. 3) Students complete the table with details about Jingzhe, weather, and activities. - Task 3: Read & Complete (Ex. 4) Students fill in the conversation blanks with options A–D. 4. Post-reading - Pair Work (Ex. 5) Students discuss: “What changes happen in spring What outdoor activities do you do ” Encourage using “It’s getting warmer.” and “We are going to ...” - Share Ideas Invite 2–3 pairs to share their dialogues with the class. 5. Summary & Homework - Summary: Recap key words, patterns, and the Jingzhe solar term. - Homework: 1. Write 3 sentences about your spring plans (use be going to ). 2.
