Smart homes are becoming more and more popular these days. What is a smart home A smart home is a living space with advanced technology. It allows you to control different devices (装置) in your home by just tapping on your smartphone—whether you’re at home or on your way to work.
Smart homes include smart devices and systems, such as locks, fridges, bulbs, washing machines...You may wonder how they work. Smart speakers are used to play music or answer questions with voices. Smart lighting system can be controlled remotely according to your schedule. Smart fridges might suggest recipes and even order foods you need. All these devices work together as one to make your home smarter and your life easier.
What are the advantages of a smart home Firstly, it is convenient. You can control your home with smartphones or voices. International Women’s Day is on March 8 every year. On this day, people celebrate the achievements of women all over the world and continue to fight for basic rights (权利) for women.
How did it start
In 1908, women in New York City wanted the right to vote. They also hoped to acquire shorter working hours and better pay. Then, in 1910 in Denmark, a woman called Clara Zetkin had the idea for an international day for women. The first International Women’s Day happened the next year.

Marathon in My Eyes
This year, 2024 Lanzhou Marathon was successfully held. I feel proud of my hometown. I’d like to share my ideas with you.
First, the government organized the event well. It provided excellent services to make sure that all runners could have a perfect and unforgettable experience. Then, the runners were welcome. They tried their best to finish the marathon. After the event, they tasted some delicious foods. Their spirit encouraged more people. Next, the volunteers also played an important role in the event. They worked hard to support the runners. What they did showed the true meaning of selflessness.
In my opinion, the event was a great success. We should hold it every year. It is not only good for our health, but also a wonderful way to bring people closer together.

International Women’s Day is on March 8 every year. On this day, people celebrate the achievements of women all over the world and continue to fight for basic rights (权利) for women.

First, the government organized the event well. It provided excellent services to make sure that all runners could have a perfect and unforgettable experience. Then, the runners were welcome. They tried their best to finish the marathon. After the event, they tasted some delicious foods. Their spirit encouraged more people. Next, the volunteers also played an important role in the event. They worked hard to support the runners. What they did showed the true meaning of selflessness.
In my opinion, the event was a great success. We should hold it every year. It is not only good for our health, but also a wonderful way to bring people closer together.
