Important sentences:
Where did you go over the winter holiday

l went there by plane.
What did you do there
l took lots of pictures, and l also went swimming.

Teaching Procedures
Step One : Warming Up
Greeting.
Say hello to students.
Warming-up.
Quick Quiz (快问快答)
学生快速说出地点及特色。
- T: "Where is it What is it famous for "
- Ss: "It’s Sanya! It’s famous for beaches and weather!"
The teacher shows students a picture and degrees of Sanya, ask them whether. It is so warm.
The teacher teaches “beaches”.
- T: "Where is it What is it famous for "
- Ss: "It’s Xinjiang! It’s famous for its fruits and nature scenery !"
Step Two: Lead-in
Review:review John’s haliday in Xinjiang.
Show a picture to Ss
Let ss to guess what they are talking about
Ss discuss.
Step There: Presentation
Let's try
Listening /check the answers
Talk about Sarch’s holiday.
Let's talk
The teacher gives Ss questions before:
Look at the pictue and answer 2 questions:
(1)where did Amy go -Sanya
(2)How did she go there -By plane.
Listen to the tape and answer 2 questions:
(1)When did Amy go -Over the winter holiday.
(2)Who did Amy go with there -Her family.
Watch the video and answer the question:
What did she do there
Ss answer the question.(She took lots of pictures and she also went swimming. )
T shows some pictures of Sanya.
-T: How was the beach
-Ss: It’s was beautuful.
Step Four : Practice
Let students follow the tape and read the dialogue sentence by sentence.
Read the dialogue together.
Show the map of China and the distance between Beijing and Sanya.
Role play: group work.
Let ss have a PK.
Step five: Consolidation
Retell Amy’s holiday with key words on blackboard together.
Show Blue’s holiday video to ss. And Let ss answer the question.
Talk about ss holidays. Give ss the form of the model.
Group word and show themselves.
Ask students to act it out in pairs.
Step Six: Conclusion
Show several beautiful pictures of different scenery. Ask students to appreciate the beauty of motherland. And then motivate them to enjoy holiday and enjoy life.
Summary the question sentences.
Step Seven: Homework
Talk about your last holiday.
Make your own travel video.
