Design a new app
Basic requirements of your new app:
1. highly targeted
2. abundant and healthy content
3. user-friendly design
Your introduction should include:
1. the name and functions
2. target users
3. your predictions (use the expressions you learned today)
Name: Own It
Target Users: Young people who’ve got their first smart phone and need advice and support on how to lead a happy digital life
Functions:
1. It will check what you’re writing , and offer advice when it
might be useful. If you’re typing a message that the app
thinks is a more serious worry - for example indicating
you’re being bullied or you might do something dangerous,
the Own It app will display a bigger warning message,
offering information on how to get help.
2. It can track your moods. Every so often it asks you how
you’re feeling, and records the results to help you spot any
patterns. If every Monday you're feeling worried, it might
say “Have you thought about talking to a trusted adult about
Mondays ”. Or if you're using the phone a lot at night and
reporting that you feel tired, it will show you some advice
on how to have a great night's sleep, and how to put your
phone away.
