五年级的学生好奇心强、思维敏捷,能对事物进行分析后发表自己独特的见解。经过四年的英语学习,五年级学生已掌握了一系列的英语语言学习知识,具备了一定的听、说、读、写能力和一定的学习方法,有良好的英语学习习惯,能在教师的引导下进行自主交流并且拥有一定的跨文化意识和学习外国文化的积极性。但他们的认读能力和语用能力还有待进一步提高。在学困生的英语学习中,我努力设计具有一定梯度的练习题,适当减低难度,增强他们的自信心,激励他们的学习积极性。
